A bio thread? *pulls up super-long bio page on her website to copy and paste*
BTW, I used to be a Guide, but I had to quit when I started year 7 (too much homework); never met a Boy Scout, though. I don't think we have them here in Australia, although I know we have co-ed Scouts.
OK, now for the bio:
PC Screen Name: Jedi_Amara
Other Screen Names (past and current): Pikachu11, Tortall89, Dragonfire
RL Name: I'm not allowed to give this one out. I guess I can say QC, because that's what you'll see on my fanart pics. But please don't call me that, I prefer JA.
Age: 14
Date of Birth: 11 August 1989 (yes, I'm older than a lot of you :P)
Location: Melbourne, Australia! I'm one of the only active Aussies on PC!
Sex: I'm a girl... I think... most of the time XD
School year: 11 (we're just finishing the year now, next year is my final year)
Favourite subjects: anything I can manage to get onto a computer in so I can visit PC, so that probably means Maths (I don't take IT)
Likes (Anime): Pok?mon (is the best), Digimon (well duh), Sailor Moon (shut up), CardCaptor Sakura, Spirited Away (Haku is cute), Yu-Gi-Oh! (I watched one episode on holiday and thought it was great - then I had to go home - then they showed it on Cheez and pulled it off in the middle of a DDM duel), Medabots (it's kind of a Pok?mon rip-off with the video screen bad guy leader and his robotic cat, but it's funny ^_^) - heck, pretty much any Anime I've seen. Except DBZ. I hate DBZ. But even Beyblade isn't so bad. I'm kind of hooked on it, it's absolutely fantastic. Ray and Kai are just so cute, especially in V-Force. I liked it enough to make a website about it. Oh yeah, and I like Kouichi. (And Kouji - but Kouichi is cuter.) I don't watch the mecha Animes, they're not my thing ^^.
Likes (other): Star Wars (well duh - look at the name), food, computers (everything about them), my computer magazines, music (rock, definitely rock)
Favourite book: Um. Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, all 30 or so of them. Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy "trilogy". Anything by Raymond E. Feist, Janny Wurts, Tamora Pierce, George R.R. Martin, or Terry Goodkind. Terry Brooks' Landover books. Oh, don't get me started. But you just did...
Favourite movies: Any of the Anime movies I've seen, I guess. (Pok?mon 1-3, Digimon: The Movie, Spirited Away)
Favourite song: Anime favourite is Let's Kick It Up from Digimon, but You Can Do It (If You Really Try) from Pok?mon and We'll Be There from Yu-Gi-Oh! come a close second. Heavyweight Generation Beyblade and Swing Low, Let It Rip from Beyblade are fantastic songs, I can't wait until they release a Beyblade soundtrack CD. And I also like One Heart by O-Town, from the Pok?mon: The Movie 2000 soundtrack. As for my non-Anime favourites, check my current playlist below. My little brother gets really annoyed when I listen to that stuff, he hates what he calls "modern pop" (even though I prefer rock). If I had to say one song, though, I'd say The Young and the Hopeless, by Good Charlotte. That's one fantastic song! My favourite bands have to be Good Charlotte, Matchbox 20 and Nickelback, followed by others as detailed in the charts in my sig as well as others like Powderfinger. Rock's my favourite type, I'm not one for dance or hip-hop (although I guess you could say "Where is the Love" is hip-hop, but that's the only one of that category I like).
Current Playlist:
Nickelback - Someday
3 Doors Down - Here Without You
Matchbox 20 - Bright Lights
Matchbox 20 - Unwell
Good Charlotte - Girls and Boys
Good Charlotte - The Young and the Hopeless
Santana feat. Alex Band - Why Don't You And I
Black Eyed Peas feat. Justin Timberlake - Where Is The Love?
The Ataris - The Boys of Summer
Hilary Duff - So Yesterday
Linkin Park - Numb
Trapt - Headstrong
Dislikes (Anime): DragonBall Z (urggghh, I HATE that thing), Beyblade (because it pushed Pok?mon off morning TV, and just whose idea was it to make an Anime about spinning tops anyway? and it's just a cheap ripoff of Pok?mon) (actually, now I'm addicted to it) (it's a great Anime), DBZ, DBZ, DBZ (sorry, I just really hate it)
Dislikes (other): Having to fix the school computers when the teachers can't (it's not that I don't like it, it's just time-consuming, and what do you hire teachers for anyway?), having to show other kids what to do in IT class (see previous entry)
Things I like doing: working on my many websites, eating, posting on PC, playing games (not much time for that though), listening to aforementioned rock, reading aforementioned books, watching Anime
Things I don't like doing: music practice, homework
Other things you should know about me: *WARNING! Digimon puns coming up! Beware!* I'm an Anime freak and computer geek. All my friends reckon this is not a good combination. They think I'm Strange, but All My Best Friends Are Metalheads. I reckon I'm an All-Star, even though we've never been Kids In America. The Impression That I Get of Digimon is that it can get you hooked in One Week, even when you're Nowhere Near a TV and you have to Runaround everywhere. Anyway, Here We Go into the rest of my profile - I think I'm going to Spill my thoughts to you. I love Animes, except for DBZ, and I like to program, both web and general computer - I'm currently learning advanced HTML and trying to figure out how to establish a database connection in VB6. I don't play many games anymore, PW is more important. Except for Dark Signs, of course, it's addictive. We're still on a dialup connection at home, and we only have one phone line, so I can only get on and update about once a week. I do, however, update the news from school. I like to read as well - anything in the way of comic fantasy/sf and heroic fantasy is good.
Favourite games: Golden Sun is good, so is Pok?mon XD. I also like C&C (it's basically the only thing my computer can run >.<) and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. Basically, give me a decent RPG or RTS game and I'll be happy. I'd like to get a Gameboy some time, though, or any game console at all. And I don't like FPS games.
Favourite Pok?mon: Oh, I don't know. I'd have to say I like a whole lot of the cute ones, including Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Torchic, Mudkip, Chansey, Blissey, Tangela, Swablu, Dratini, *JA goes on and on for several hours listing her favourite Pok?mon*
There, I think I've managed to combine the categories and paragraphs ^^. In a *very* long post.
