I recently got my blog, and I was really hyped out when I first saw it, because blogs are one of the few things that I really love and I find that it's a really cool feature for us to have. However, I was quite overwhelmed, because of the extensive customization available and being at a loss of what to do, what to customize, and I've just done everything according to gut feeling by now.

To everyone here who blogs extensively, like El Heroe Oscuro (aka Matt) from what I've heard and others, I've seen your blogs and they're really cool and organized. Anyone mind giving out advice like how to make a decent blog, how to get people involved, how to increase your blog's presence and whatnot. Thanks a bunch in advance, guys! ^^

im a power hungry mania who cares only about fame and popularity muahahahaa

My advice? Be consistent, don't be discouraged, and just all and all write whatever you like to write about. Yeah, I'd like to think that my blog is semi-popular, but it didn't get that way over night. At the beginning of my authorship there were many days when I hardly got over what, 20 views per blog entry? And it's improved over time! That's why I say don't get discouraged if people either a.) don't comment on it or b.) the viewership may be a little down. Rather, just have fun with it!

The second point - and a big one in my books - is be consistent. I wish more people would do this, but people should have consistent time entries in which they plan on submitting their stuff. The blog section of PC is in a very hide-away spot and thus having a designated time - like I do every day at 5PM - helps people realize that a new entry is being published. It's a little tough to do what I do publishing every day - I've actually had to take the last week or so off just because it's been so hectic in my real life - but if you can stay consistent say, three days a week Monday Wednesday Friday, then people will know to come to your blog on those days.

That's just my two cents. And honestly, don't hesitate to approach me if you have any questions. I wouldn't call myself a "blog expert", but I'd like to think I'm a prominent force when it comes to that entity. I should probably get back to writing my blogs soon, people have been pestering me about it haha.

Hey, thanks for all the advice. I've read through your post and this blog, and I'll keep continuing after I decide what to write about in addition to just posts that have random snippets of my life. Something on my mind would be a series of sorts, where I write one post pertaining to a certain consistent topic per week, or something along those lines. Yeah, everything comes with patience and hard work. Also, good luck with getting back into your blogging. :)
