Blue screen of death and unexpected shutdown

this incident happened a week ago,my laptop doesnt reponds,it hangs and and stops working then the screen will turn to blue saying''

if you have installed any new software or hardware before that happened, uninstall them, if you get the same message it might mean your harddrive is dying, so back up all data and format. If no changes appear you might need to get a new harddrive

In extremely rare cases, it is caused when nonpaged pool resources run out.

Given that I'd suggest trying disabling your computer's paging file.

I've experience that one before and It'll get worse day after day. My technician suggest a new disk drive.

In that case it seems like you have a faulty hard drive. If you've recently installed RAM, then take the new RAM out, as it seems you either have faulty RAM or your HDD.

Let us know about the RAM.

It sounds like it could be a driver issue or a program recently installed causing issues.

Go Start>The search bar>Type System Restore and then click it. It may take a min or two to load up, then select back to a day when you never had any issues with the laptop. So try think back to when the error started and then do the restore to a day or two back before they started.

i havent installed any ram yet,

when i opened the system restore it told me that

''no restore points have been created on your computer's system disk.
to create a restore point open system restore

system restore can help fix problems that migt be making your computer

system restore does not affect any of your documents,pictures or

I experienced the exact same thing before. I had to get myself a new hard drive.

Anyway, if you're not too fond of wasting money on a new hard drive, try wiping out your hard drive and reinstalling Windows Vista (you have the CD, right?). If that doesn't work, what I recommend you do is call a technician to take care of the problem.

If not, try not to run many major programs at same time.
Try to uninstall strange hardware drivers and software.
