Hey guys i just got back into the game(after about 8 years i think), and i had a question. Do they just not have energy cards in booster packs?... i bought a theme deck(royal frost) and 3 booster packs. obviously at this point i dont need any energies but i'd like to start building alternate decks and i cant do that without energies. So if they do still come in the boosters just lemme know and i'll be patient, but if i have to get them by other methods please let me know.

I think the original Diamond and Pearl set contains energies, but I'm not sure. Everything after that contains no energies, though, so if you want energies, you're best off buying theme decks that fit your energy needs.

Buy a good number of card packs and look through those, and you just may find some.

THe original base set
had a good amount of energys,

but alot of store dont sell them any more

I go to still sells them:)

I wish I could tell you, but I never learned the rules...

I reccomend checking setlists at the official site or PokeBeach.com to see which sets have energy cards, and then proceeding to buy some packs from each. If you want basic dark or steel energies, I'd just stick to buying the original Diamond and Pearl boosters.
