[News] Brain Training announced for Nintendo Switch

So it seems Brain Training is back on the Switch, but for me actually the craziest thing to take away from this is that there seems to be some new features/uses coming into play for the Nintendo Switch!

Nintendo Japan announced the game for the Switch and there are two key things to take away from this:

  • Using the console vertically
  • Utilising the Joycons in yet another way

I mean, recognising your hand enough to be able to determine how many fingers your holding up, say whaaaat?!!! Also it can be seen played using a stylus, which was also confirmed to be released for the console on the same day as the game coming out, so I wonder if games moving forward will start utilising this too...

Excited for future titles potentially using some of these features!!!

I've never played Brain Age but I hear it's really popular in Japan, so I'm glad the Switch is getting a new title. I wonder how the kanji writing will translate for a possible Western release. The hand detection is also a really cool feature to see, and image processing being advanced enough to recognize the number of fingers is great.

I do hope these features get used in future titles! The idea of cool gameplay implementations is super exciting.
