[Intro] brand new to pc & forums

I sertainly hope so! 👍
You should definitely do that when you're done with your challenge! I'm sure you'll fit in quite well in that section!
Congratulations on the very tough win! Platinum is by no means an easy game, so winning a Nuzlocke of it shows great skill.
Nice Team by the way, really good Type coverage.
What challenge are you working on now?

Thank you!
I'm currently on a nuzlocke of Black 2. It's going great so far, I just beat the third gym leader Burgh and I've got a great team of Magnemite, Sandile, Leavanny, Herdier, and my starter pokemon, Tepig (I can't recall it's second stage name). Magnmite and Sandile are spectacular late-game, as steel types are powerful and defensive and sandile becomes Krookodile, which is a very powerful physical sweeper. Just those two pokemon alone will carry tons of weight...so hopefully they stay around a little longer.
It's also fun to use Leavanny for the first time! And Herdier is a reliable intimidate doggy.
I enjoy the strategizing most in a nuzlocke, which is why I enjoy using typically underpowered or peculiar pokemon. However, I can't throw away the luck I've been handed with such a strong start to the run.

That's a very good starting team, I used a Krookodile in my first play-through of White, (not a Nuzlocke) and that 'mon became the star of my team! Also, the middle evo of Tepig's called Pignite. I wish you continued good luck on your run!
With some of the lingo you're using, I get the impression that you're really good at Pokemon, are you into doing competitive Pokemon battles?

Ah, Pignite.
I played competitive ladder during the SWSH competitive scene. I haven't played any in SV because Terastalizing giving any pokemon any type makes everything a memorization game even more so than it is (which pokemon commonly use what Tera type, and so on). I am close to giving and an finishing my first playthough of SV and getting back into the competitive scene, though. I'm not a fan of open world games so even though SV is fun, I kinda fell out of it halfway through.
What's your favorite aspect of pokemon?

It's cool to know you do competitive, there are surprisingly few members of the site that do competitive at the moment.
I'm kinda 'meh' on S/V's open world thing, though I do like the Gym freedom of those games, at least in theory. (nice job not adding level scaling in your open world, Game freak...)
Catchin' 'em all lol. No really though, I like hunting down all the Pokemon. I was kinda sad that there wasn't somthing like that in S/V. (a proper path for the people who liked doing Dex work) It kinda reminds me of getting all the logbook scans in Metroid Prime lol.

I agree that SV should have had a dex hunter feature or something. Maybe where you get badges on your trainer card for completing "areas" of the map by filling out that areas pokedex. Something small to motivate the player, especially considering some pokemon nowadays have crazy evolution gimmicks (gimmighoul).

Now that would've been a nice feature! And yeeeaaah, Gimmighoul was a bit much. Though I think Tandemaus's whole deal was the most convoluted one for me.

Convoluted or not, Tandemaus and Mausehold are some of the best pokemon from Paldea. I love their simple design and their whole deal.

They didn't really do all that much for me, but I'm glad you liked them! What other Paldea Pokemon do you really like?

Espartha is a neat design that doesn't get enough love. I am not too fond of the starters, but I love the idea behind Quaxly's line.
I think my favorite, though, would be Spidops and Rabsca. I love bug pokemon!

Espartha's design is really nice! I haven't had the chance to use one in a run yet, but the next time I go through Scarlet I'm planning on trying one out.
Though I'm not sure how much different it'll look to you, I got a shiny French Rellor from a trade I did a while ago, if you'd like, I'll give it to you.
