4th Gen Breeding?

    Ok i need help with breeding, i dont quite get it.

    And just so you know, i dont breed for moves or special natures or stats. I just breed.

    Ok, here are some questions.

    1- Do you have to have a pokemon in its final form to breed. (For eg. Electrabuzz cant, Electriver can).

    2- Can you breed without ditto?

    3- Does gender matter? (For eg. if i had a Male Crobat, could he breed with ditto)

    4- Are legendarys breedable?

    5- Which pokemon cant breed.

    6- I think i know this, but Genderless pokemon (Porygon, Magnemite, etc). Can breed with other pokemon and always get the egg.

    To answer your questions:

    1 - No you don't need to have a pokemon in its final form to breed.

    2 - Yes you can breed without ditto, some pokemon you need to breed with ditto such as manaphy to obtain phione and some pokemon you are not able to breed at all.

    3 - Yes and No, if the pokemon is breedable any gender can breed with Ditto as well as genderless, and will be the pokemon that's not Ditto's lowest form/evolution. Otherwise yes gender matters: when two same egg type pokemon breed, the egg will be of the Female's Evolution line and the moves will learn a combination of various moves, if the father knows any of it's EGG moves then it will learn that move as well.

    4- Legendary pokemon are not breedable, with the exception of manaphy which makes phione

    5- Ditto can't breed, all legendaries except manaphy can't breed, all baby pokemon can't breed(by baby i mean those obtained with special items through breeding like wynaut, smoochum, etc....)

    6 - Most genderless pokemon can only breed with itself and/or Ditto like your porygon.
    It HG and SS this isn't too much of a problem as yoiu can get DItto pretty early in the game.

    Overall there are a lot more information to breeding and there are several guides to breeding out there such as from smogon or serebii or psypokes
