BROKEN;;

Grayson caught the orb that the boy threw at him before the boy turned to walk away. Grayson quickly inspected it. It was green, therefore it was Virizion's Phantom's soul. There was one more to go, though that was quickly taken care of as Terrakion's Phantom was destroyed almost immediately after. Grayson thanked the girl who had broken it, picked up the orb then turned to the boy who was leaving.

"Please, I insist you stay. At least for the light show. Though I'm sure you'd like to know more about yourself and your parents," Grayson nodded. "All will be revealed very soon. I have to do this first though, to secure the seal."

He stepped over to the blue plate in the centre of the field, the Entree as it was known as to some. Though there wasn't much of a tree left, only a sapling struggling in the centre of the plate. The seal could still be subdued, as long as he acted fast. It was getting late, as the sky showed, the afternoon sun glistening over the horizon. He placed the orbs in the plate, circling the sapling. He stared at it for a little, exhaling. The Entree would not be fully grown again, not until the Musketeer Quartet actually returned here. Mew flew over to join Grayson, floating just above his shoulder, offering some kind of company. It knew what this meant too.

The orbs begun to glow, gradually growing brighter and brighter. The light from the orbs then shot up into the sky and began to twist, the four different beams of light making a kind of spiral rainbow in the sky. The light then grew solid, then died away to reveal a regrown Entree. Not as its full size, as it was meant to be; perhaps two thirds of its height. Grayson knew it would slowly wither as the seal weakened, then die if not attended to. Though, that was still a little way off, he didn't have to worry about that now. The most important thing at the moment was these kids.

"Let's make camp," Grayson said, his smile returning. "I have much to tell you all tonight."

"Mew!"

* * *

The Entree had provided them with shelter and Grayson had picked there to set up camp. Luckily, he had an assortment of tarpaulin and sleeping bags and, with the help of others, had set up a decent shelter before the sun had disappeared under the horizon. He then set up a fire, to keep everyone warm, though wasn't worried about it harming the Entree. A tree of such magnificence could not be destroyed so easily.

Kerin had found his hoodie and put it back on, hiding his arms yet again, but there was no need to. He could see everyone's faces, and they had all seen his (and his arms). There were some that were different like him, there were some that were not. He made a quick guess that many of them had not opened the ball like he had. He wouldn't have if he wasn't quite forced into the situation like he was.

Grayson sat next to the fire and beckoned everyone around it. He was going to tell them everything.

"I ask that if you have any quick questions, ask them now, because I do not want to be interrupted," Grayson said loudly enough so everyone could hear.

(OOC: i have to go to bed, so i had to wrap up this post quickly. sorry for the bunnying, i just wanted to move it right along and get to the Q and A session with Grayson. Please, everyone, post! Even if its a short post, maybe a paragraph, I need to know that everyone is still reading and committed!)

Camp out

"Please, I insist you stay. At least for the light show. Though I'm sure you'd like to know more about yourself and your parents," The old man, Grayson, said as I ran up to the group. "All will be revealed very soon. I have to do this first though, to secure the seal."

He stepped over to the blue plate in the center of the field, where a sapling struggled to grow. After Grayson placed the orbs on the blue plate, they began to glow, gradually growing brighter and brighter. The light from the orbs then shot up into the sky and began to twist, the four different beams of light making a kind of spiral rainbow in the sky. The light then grew solid, then died away to reveal a grown tree.

"Let's make camp," Grayson said, his smile returning. "I have much to tell you all tonight."

The Kerin kid had found his hoodie and put it back on. Perhaps he was still holding onto the thought that one of us was incompetent and hadn't noticed his arms. Grayson sat next to the fire and beckoned everyone around it. He was going to tell them everything.

"I ask that if you have any quick questions, ask them now, because I do not want to be interrupted," Grayson said loudly enough so everyone could hear. I decided to wait and see what he had to say, and I would ask any unanswered questions after.

Rose was glad that the other girl was unhurt. She was about to ask her name when the floating pink cat came over and lifted the ghostly pokemon into the air once more. It was amazing that such a small creature could have enough power to lift something that huge. The girl beside her began to try and widen the crack that had appeared on the pokemon's stomach. Maybe that was the way to destroy it? Rose stood motionless as she watched the girl send rocks and bits of tree flying at the ghost, followed by a strange coloured ball of energy. The pokemon shattered into pieces, leaving a little brown orb in its place.

"What's that thing?"

"I have no idea..." Rose was about to go examine the orb, but the middle-aged man came up to them and picked it up.

"Please, I insist you stay. At least for the light show." the man said, addressing everyone in the field. "Though I'm sure you'd like to know more about yourself and your parents. All will be revealed very soon. I have to do this first though, to secure the seal." He then went over to the tiny sapling and placed the orbs all around it, making it grow instantly. He turned back to the small crowd of people that had gathered. "Let's make camp, I have much to tell you all tonight."

~~~~~
Together, everyone managed to set up a nice little camp under the tree. The man - Rose found out his name was Grayson - lit a fire and beckoned everyone around it. "I ask that if you have any quick questions, ask them now, because I do not want to be interrupted," he said to them all. There was no way she was going to speak up. Her many questions would probably be answered in his upcoming speech. Besides, she didn't want to draw attention to herself. Sitting silently in the back was fine with her.
Johann watched as, one by one, the figures began to "break" and orbs came out of them, just as the man had said. It was still a rather strange concept Johann couldn't quite grasp. He watched as the man took the four orbs and place them on a blue plate in the center of the area. Johann stared with awe as the orbs formed the light show that they did, soon disappearing only to reveal a tree that had not been there previously. What...just happened? So many things were going through Johann's mind. He wondered what would come next.
"Let's make camp," the man said with a smile. "I have much to tell you all tonight." Johann nodded half-heartedly, still unsure as to what he was supposed to do.
~x~
Johann watched the fire flicker back and forth. He was worried that he might accidentally cause it to expand and harm others, or perhaps destroy the new tree that served as their shelter. He took the sleeping bag under his arm, and began to climb the tree. If I'm up here, maybe everyone else will be all right. He rolled the sleeping bag out on one of the thicker branches and laid down on it. The branch was harder than the ground, but Johann felt that it was fairly sturdy and would hold him. He looked down on the man and the others as the man said, "I ask that if you have any quick questions, ask them now, because I do not want to be interrupted." Johann had a ton of questions. But he felt they would be explained. He looked directly at the man as if to say something. But instead, he thought, I would like to know where we are, for starters-- Johann stopped thinking. His thoughts seemed to be louder than usual, as if he had spoken them. They seemed loud enough so that others might've heard them. But was it just him, or was this another one of his abilities?
"...Telepathy?" he quietly gasped.
"Please, I insist you stay. At least for the light show. Though I'm sure you'd like to know more about yourself and your parents," made Matthew stop in his tracks. He wanted more than anything to know what was going on, but knew that he was in something way over his head; something he would have to see through to the end. That was what scared him the most. Matthew was not one for commitment, and he could never cope well with importance because he never wanted to be important. He clenched his jaw and fists, digging his nails into the soft flesh of his palms. Fighting back the urge to run away from here, he turned and walked towards the group, "All will be revealed very soon. I have to do this first though, to secure the seal." Grayson finished.
***
The sky had darkened considerably since being teleported into the area Matthew later deducted to be the Entralink and the tree that had once been a sapling and grown quite considerably after Grayson had returned the orbs to its base. Now sitting in front of a roaring fire, Grayson addressed all who sat around it, "I ask that if you have any quick questions, ask them now, because I do not want to be interrupted."
Matthew looked around at the people around the fire, apart from the older man he came to know as Grayson, they were all looking around the same age, others slightly older and others slightly younger, but none looked more than a couple of months apart. However after Grayson's latest announcement, no one seemed to have any questions, as if a Meowth had their tongue. So Matthew decided to speak up.
"I have a barrage of questions to ask you that I would appreciate answers for. The first is: Why are we here?" he gestured to the Entralink around them, "What even are we? Are we human at all?" he pointed to some of the more Pokémon-looking members. "And finally: What do you know about ourselves and our parents? Explain please!"
Matthew found himself standing after asking the questions, feeling more aggressive and imposing though he never meant to. He knew that the same questions must have been on the minds of everyone else; they were all just too scared to ask. He waited for Grayson to start explaining before he sat down.
Lyle was easily ignored, his question blowing over Grayson's head as he focused on the one boy who was leaving imploring him to stay. At least he wasn't begging. He promised a light show, which interested Lyle and he did not disappoint. Placing the orbs around a dying sapling, Grayson stared on the single point only to be joined by the floating pink cat. It appeared to hold some affection for Grayson, like a pet to its master. The collected orbs began to glow and as the moments passed the light intensified. Pillars of light flew up from the orbs, twisting together to form a spiral rainbow. The light solidified and then died away to reveal a new tree. An Entree if Lyle recalled correctly. Grayson finished his duty, or at least he appeared to have done so and turned to the group once again.
"Let's make camp," he said with a smile. "I have much to tell you all tonight."
Well no sh***, Lyle thought to himself.
****
Grayson lead to the efforts to construct a campsite and Lyle obliged to help. In his mind at least, he was one of the less confused ones. It was mostly a result of him not caring about was going on. Sure he was curious, but regardless of what Grayson said it didn't change anything. When the work was done, Lyle took the seat closest to the fire. He also held a fascination with fire and upon learning of his origin, the fascination only grew. It was a borderline obsession.
"I ask that if you have any quick questions, ask them now, because I do not want to be interrupted," Grayson said after gathering everyone. Most of the group stayed silent, as if they were afraid. Lyle smirked at the thought before lighting up another cigarette, using the campfire as a light in reckless fashion. Fire never burnt him so it wasn't as dangerous as people might think. Lyle had considered formulating some questions, though he was discouraged from being ignored earlier and his own apathy was getting in the way. Then one of the others stood up and roared at Grayson.
"I have a barrage of questions to ask you that I would appreciate answers for. The first is: Why are we here? What even are we? Are we human at all?" the boy pointed to some of the more Pokémon-looking members in the campsite. "And finally: What do you know about ourselves and our parents? Explain please!"
Lyle's smile grew a bit. First, he was happy someone spoke up. Secondly, this boy covered most of the bases that Lyle was going to bring up. And thirdly, he saved Lyle the trouble of asking. Lyle was beginning to relax. He laid back on the grass and looked up at the stars, admiring the beauty of the moment. It was his first camping in ages. He wanted to bathe in the moment. He had a feeling it wasn't going to last for long.
Cobalion was broken apart and an orb dropped out, and the other three followed suit smoothly. Matthew took the honor of breaking Virizion, but he turned to leave. Where was he going to go? That didn't have to be answered, because the old man stopped him. Lucas himself turned to look at Grayson and decided to join up with the rest of the growing group, letting his hair slide over his face and part his eyes -- kind of to give off at least a slightly less feminine feel than he usually did.
Grayson took the orbs to a blue panel, the Entree, and set them down to let them fly up and spin amongst themselves. The display of multi-colored lights was beautiful to say the least, and when it ended, the empty space was replaced by a tree. Didn't look fully-grown, yet... it was amazing to look at nonetheless.
"Let's make camp. I have much to tell you all tonight," Grayson stated.
"Mew!" The little floating naked cat seemed cheerful.
In a short time, everyone was able to set up a sort of campsite, Lucas making a place for his bag and coat just outside the Entree's cover range under the night sky. The old man soon called everyone over to a fire; felt a little like summer camp now to Lucas, and the thought made him chuckle under his breath.
"I ask that if you have any quick questions, ask them now, because I do not want to be interrupted."
Lucas wanted to ask for names, just to get introductions out of the way, but Matt started first by blurting out a storm of questions that undoubtedly everyone wanted answered. "Why are we here? What even are we? Are we human at all? And finally: What do you know about ourselves and our parents? Explain please!"
The man sauntered up to the orb and picked it up. He thanked Daphne who merely replied with a faint smile. Everyone else gathered around near the old man, and Daphne got up to her feet and softly walked near the group. Soon, she gradually felt her tiredness wear off and energy flowing and beating in her body once more.
The man said something which Daphne did not catch but she observed as what was just a sapling in the middle of the clearing, burst into light and magically grew up. It somehow went through an unusual growth spurt. Daphne was too blurry in the mind to bother about what just happened.
"Let's make camp," The old man had said, his smile returning. "I have much to tell you all tonight." And the pink legendary added a cheerful cry. Everyone then dispersed and started setting up the place. THere was a traditional campfire and of course, tents. The old man had taken a spot by the fire and gestured for all the others to do so. Daphne silently found a comfortable clean log and rested on it. While everyone settled down around the fire, Daphne took a good observant look around everyone. Most of them appeared normal, or at least, quite like humans without odd powers and talents. A few had distinct features that obviously showed their connections to specific Pokemon. She didn't know anyone, and felt very uneasy around these group of strange teenagers just like her in a queer way.
"I ask that if you have any quick questions, ask them now, because I do not want to be interrupted," The old man had talked. Daphne gazed around blankly, with countless questions buzzing in her currently empty mind. But she chose to remain mute, for some reason. Just then, a boy stood up and words came out of his mouth at the speed of light.
"Why are we here? What even are we? Are we human at all?" the boy pointed to some of the more Pokémon-looking members in the campsite. And finally: What do you know about ourselves and our parents? Explain please!" The tone was pleading and slightly desperate. Daphne was surprised at how everything came out smoothly. She shifted her eyes to settle a stare at the man who seem to know everything and could be the cause of them. A stare that was waiting. A stare that had a sparkle of hope underneath the lens of questioning and doubts. A stare that was hungry for knowledge......
Her remark earned her a response, Lana raising her eyebrows and smirking at Lyle. At least one person shared her brand of humour, though the stench of the cigarette smoke was alluring to the girl who had dabbled in her fair share of substances during her junior year (and almost gotten caught doing so).
The rest of the group were rounded up; she was too preoccupied with the already-turned Poké-people to notice where they were, not that she was familiar with the area. The notion of finding out about their 'parents' intrigued her, and she happily assisted with anything that she would be useful for, finally sitting around a welcoming fire and drawing her knees to her chest. She still needed a bath, godammit.
The older man finished talking and looked around expectantly at the group. No-one spoke, at first, but then two voices spoke at once, one cutting itself off mid-sentence. Thinking it to be out of politeness rather than the true reason, she thought nothing more of it - though it had sounded a lot louder to her than the voice that continued.
"As you can probably tell, I haven't opened my Pokéball yet," she piped up once Matthew had finished firing his onslaught of questions. "Is there any way of telling what kind of Pokémon I'll become before that time, or even when it might open on its own? The second one isn't as important I guess, can't change the fact that one day I'll look like you guys. Not that that's a bad thing, of course. I sorta ran out on my family before they could explain," she added sheepishly, retrieving her music player from her pocket. "Also, anyone got a way to power this? I was two tracks away from getting over my angst when it died, damn thing."
(OOC: im sorry to delay it further, but the truth will be soon! I thought that introducing everyone, like TornZero said, would make the process of naming people easier. One more post from everybody!)
Kerin nodded along with the boy. He wanted to know everything too. What the heck was he and why was he teleported here in the first place? He had his own questions too.
"Yeah, yeah! Why do I look like a absolute freak with these arms," he gestured to his monstrosity he had to call limbs, "and why don't they?!" Grayson made a "calm down" gesture with his hands.
"Well, first off, we are on Entralink Island, an exclusive island in the middle of Unova, which is difficult to get to unless you know how to travel by the technique 'Teleport'," Grayson smiled and tapped his nose. "Which you need to already have been to the place to travel back to it by teleport. But, it's great to see your abilities are developing, and so fast too." He sighed at the entourage of questions.
"We... we have a lot of time. How about, just before we start, we all introduce ourselves so I can help you all out without calling you 'you' or 'guy' or 'miss'? My name is Grayson. Theodore Grayson," he scratched his forehead. "I'm quite old, I come from the south, grew up on Cinnabar Island and my favourite pastime is exploration!" The way he talked, it was like he was introducing himself to a bunch of first graders.
Kerin sighed loudly. Perhaps if he went along with this crap, his questions would get answered.
"Kerin Knight," Kerin breathed, "from Lacunosa Town in Unova. I like..." Kerin arched his head on the side and bit his lip, "... making coffee and music."
ooc: Apologies for the lack of content; it's unlikely I'll be online again until Saturday and I don't want to delay anything.
Lana was a little disappointed when her questions weren't answered immediately, especially the one regarding her music player.. Grayson seemed more concerned with everyone getting to know one another - it made sense, she could see that.
She scooted a little closer to the fire, bringing a hand to her bangs and toying with the strands falling into her face. She had heard of Unova - it was a long, long way from Kanto, even further than Sinnoh and Hoenn. Her history and geography classes went into great detail as to how people travelled there to escape the war, but couldn't quite remember the exact details concerning its neutrality arrangements. Ah well, that didn't matter. They were probably everyone's enemy now, being part Pokémon and all.
Her mind briefly wandered to the red and white sphere tucked between the spare clothes in her bag, then one of the others took the plunge and introduced himself first. Coffee and music? She could go for that.
"My name's Lan Edmonton and I'm an alco--" The blonde pulled down her hood and smiled. "Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously, I was born in Viridian, but grew up in Pewter, Kanto region. I like music, science and taking long walks in the rain - girls love me for it."
(OOC: Why aren't we using the OOC thread for OOC matters? >_>)
Lucas was in plain-as-day shock, just without the jaw-dropping or eye-widening. He somehow made it from Mahogany Town to the center of the Unova region in a moment flat. But he was a little relieved to see the matter of introductions being taken care of without having to say anything.
"I'm quite old, I come from the south, grew up on Cinnabar Island and my favourite pastime is exploration!" Grayson introduced himself first after explaining about the area they ended up in. Kerin was next, who made Lucas think a mocha or something would be good at the moment. Probably a good thing to think of food right now, at least compared to when they were in the middle of getting attacked by Pokémon-whatevers.
"My name's Lan Edmonton and I'm an alco-- Sorry, couldn't resist." Lan already showed herself to be a comic of sorts. Lucas almost laughed aloud. It seemed to be his turn next, so he cleared his throat and scooched himself a little bit closer to everyone so they could hear.
"Lucas Seran," he cleared up for everyone, though it still sounded like "Luca Seran", even to himself now; annoying, but he can get used to it... eventually. "Raised in Mahogany, Johto," he continued, "and I'm a martial artist." His complete lack of masculinity would have begged to differ, though he kept its proverbial mouth shut, if only in his own mind.
Now that his own introduction was out of the way, another question sprang up in his head to go with Matthew's tidal wave of inquiries: Is Grayson the one that brought us here, or did he just pop up, too? He seemed to know about us and his cheery attitude when he saw us was as if he was anticipating our arrival, so he should be more linked to our situation than the rest of us.
It seemed that everyone was to start introducing themselves. Rose hated these kind of things. Why couldn't Grayson just start explaining everything? It was clear that everyone wanted to know what the heck was going on. Anyways, a boy named Kerin introduced himself first. He was one of the few people that had opened their seal. His arm was that of a beast. The next person in the circle was Lan, a blonde boy... at least, Rose thought he was a boy. It was a bit hard to tell. Next was the boy right next to her, Lucas, and then it was her turn. Without looking up, she started to speak.
"Um... hi. I'm Rosemarie Hudson... but you can call me Rose if you want. I live in Nacrene City in Unova. I like to decorate cakes and stuff. I, uh, even sell them sometimes."
Matthew was incensed that Grayson decided to to pay heed to his answers and instead get introductions out of the way. Matthew cared not for whom he was with or what they did, it wasn't like he was going to become friends with them at all. The fact that Grayson wanted introductions instead of questions made Matthew quite angry. Besides, he did not really want to associate with these people if they were half Pokemon.
"Michael, Michael Clay" Matthew lied through his teeth. Know this people only for the first time meant that he did not trust any of them at all, keeping his name from them was the best he could do at this point in time.
"From somewhere distant," He added, deciding to play hard to get. Something in the back of his head told him that he would eventually become friends with these people, but his own suspicion and doubt silenced that voice. He paid little attention to anyone else's name, eager to get answers to the questions he posed so he could leave. That was what the man had told him.
The air became thick with tension, only confirming Lyle's suspicion that the relaxing moment wouldn't last long. People hounded Grayson with questions about who they were, what they would become, what they were doing here, and so on. It was a miracle no one asked what the meaning of life was. Lyle sighed, releasing a smoke cloud. The tension culminated into a single moment as the boy with the Pokemon arms roared at Grayson, demanding answer from Grayson about his transformation. Grayson attempted to ease the camp by introducing himself like one of his old teachers in school: "We... we have a lot of time. How about, just before we start, we all introduce ourselves so I can help you all out without calling you 'you' or 'guy' or 'miss'? My name is Grayson. Theodore Grayson. I'm quite old, I come from the south, grew up on Cinnabar Island and my favourite pastime is exploration!"
Lyle rose from the ground in order to learn everyone's name. Pokemon-arm boy introduced himself as Kerin Knight from Lacunosa Town. Supposedly he liked making coffee and listening to music. Lyle would have to ask for a cup of his coffee one day. The sarcastic blonde boy introduced himself as Lan Edmonton. He was from Viridian, but raised in Pewter, Kanto region. His brother visited the region so he recognized the town names, but nothing more. He also liked music, science and taking long walks in the rain. Another boy spoke up and called himself Lucas Seran, a martial arts from Mahogany, Johto. A girl introduced herself as Rosemarie Hudson. She appeared to be a baker of some sort from Nacrene City. The boy who demanded answers from Grayson earlier introduced himself as Michael Clay. He didn't offer a hometown. Lyle suspected he was being vague on purpose.
Assuming it was his turn next, Lyle spoke up: "Name's Lyle Murphy. I'm from Castelia City. I like a lot of things and I don't particularly hate anything. All you really need to know for now is that I live my life to the fullest," Lyle introduced himself with a smile. Lyle turned to the blonde boy and reached into his bag: "Hey Lan, right? Does your music player thing run on batteries? I got a few left over from my broken one," Lyle mumbled the last few words, his awkwardness acting up.
(OOC: If I'm not wrong, Lana's a girl, not boy. xD)
Everyone was beginning to loosen up a bit and gave introductions of themselves. The old man introduced himself as Theodore Grayson. "I'm quite old, I come from the south, grew up on Cinnabar Island and my favourite pastime is exploration!" Quite expected...
Daphne added a mental note in her knowledge-storing mind. Then, self-introductions and mini-descriptions started rolling like the dish of the day. There was a coffee-and-music maker going by the name Kerin Knight. Then, there two other girls, and that made Daphne less tense by a notch. A Rosemarie Hudson and a Lana Edmonton was added to list in her brain. Then, a Lucas Seran spoke up, "Raised in Mahogany, Johto. And I'm a martial artist." Another somewhat ambiguous character introduced himself, the one who let loose a torrent of sentences that demanded answers.
"Matthew. Matthew Clay. From somewhere distant."
The voice felt as if it was hiding something. But she didn't really bother about it and brush off the gut feeling. It seemed to Daphne that a couple of them had Johto origins. She had never been there before. She did plan on traveling there, but never actually tried sitting down and planning out her schedule. Then, one of the last few including her, a boy got up and started, "Name's Lyle Murphy. I'm from Castelia City. I like a lot of things and I don't particularly hate anything. All you really need to know for now is that I live my life to the fullest." He seemed cheery and more of the positive sort. However, Daphne should not jump to conclusions now, everyone had only just met not very long. Seeing that she was one of the few that had yet to make their identity known, she took the initiative without waiting for the rest and stood up. Not being much of a public speaker, she began with a brief spasm of stammering but soon, she handle the momentous stage fright and her tongue flowed smoothly.
"I go by the name of Daphne, it was given to me by my foster parents. Yes, I don't know who my real parents are but I know that they're dead. I'm kinda or sorta strange and different. Much like some of you." Daphne tilted her head to Kerin's direction. "And as you saw earlier in the day, I have.....abnormalities." She pursed her lips in a neutral fashion, not knowing what to add on. She briefly mentioned Driftveil City as where she currently resided and certain of her personal quirks like reading, history and gardening. She paused, looked around at everybody and then, returned to her seat from what she imagined as her soapbox. Phew...that didn't turn out bad...now..what do I do?...
ooc: She is, but most people assume she is male due to the way she presents herself and gives herself a more gender-neutral name. A few people would probably be able to tell that she's a girl, but I'd rather leave that up to others than to enforce anything.
More people introduced themselves. Some came from places she had heard of, others from areas that sounded vaguely familiar and a little exotic. Their names were normal enough, even if you know, everything else wasn't. Admitedly she had never been normal, really.
The guy from before was speaking to her again; she blinked for a moment as the words registered in her head. (Along with thoughts regarding her current personal hygiene, surely some of these people with Pokémon-like tendencies would be cringing from how bad she stank? Or perhaps she didn't smell as bad as she felt, not that she was obsessed with cleanliness.)
"Batteries?" Echoed Lana, shaking her head and taking her player out to show Lyle. "Nah, this thing needs a charge. I was wondering if there was anyone here who was an electric type and could just... Give it a boost. Though it'd be somewhat risky, not knowing the strength of the discharge produced without measuring it first, really should have brought my voltmeter..." She trailed off, staring blankly over his shoulder. "Oh right, sorry. Thanks for the offer though." The girl glanced down to the player in her hands and the small panel that concealed the battery. It would be a pain to get off.
A girl was next to speak, she introduced herself as Daphne. The name reminded her of an old show she used to watch, where a group of teenagers and their cowardly CGI Growlithe would investigate strange goings on. She smiled when Daphne's eyes fell on her and then tucked her music player back in her pocket. She was out of luck here.
OOC: Short, but... nyeh. It gets the job done for now :/
The world around him seemed much different from before. This didn't seem like the marsh area around Pastoria. It was much more arid and quite a bit off. He was beginning to suspect that the Ralts hadn't used a Flash attack after all, but where did that leave him? Danny yawned and scratched his head. At least he was alone.
After a while of walking around the foreign territory, his stomach growled. That's right… I never ate lunch. He sighed heavily and seated himself in the middle of the grass. He pulled out a juice box and an orange. Tasty as always. He sighed again while digging his nails into the orange. It was kind of nice here. It wasn't swampy and it was quiet…
Danny could hear the voices. They had been there all along and they were faint. It was only now that he had noticed them. A bit further, he could spy the group. Danny gave one last heavy sigh and stuffed his crummy meal back inside his bag. He got up and came with in hearing distance of the people.
Entralink… names… blah blah… Danny ignored most of it. He didn't care. He was fine here where no one would bug him. He gave a loud yawn that immediately fell shut as his nose itched and a sneeze came out. Danny fell backwards, but he could see the stream of bubbles that jetted out to the company ahead of him. Today is such a wonderful day. He stared up into the clouds, wishing that they would just swallow him whole.
"Well thank you all," Grayson nodded. "And now I can- oh?" He turned his head towards the sudden sound of a sneeze. Well, these Pokémon weren't very punctual, those psychic ones. Still, better late than never. Grayson stood up and the Mew floated over to the sound, finding a boy. And bubbles. It squealed a little, popping the bubbles, floating over the boy. Grayson followed the Mew, they only walked a few steps before they could see him. "I see, another." Grayson offered a hand to the boy to help him up.
Kerin frowned and tilted his head towards Grayson. Another what? Another Pokémon? Another person? Oh please, how many of them were there?
"Hello!" Grayson smiled at the boy. "Better late than never, I suppose? Please introduce yourself to everyone, I'll explain everything!"
Johann listened to the man as he explained where they were. He had never heard of the Entralink before. But then again, he didn't really know places outside the Village Bridge, and where he had traveled to. The man said something about how glad he was that everyone's powers were developing, then going on to say some things about himself, including that his name was "Theodore Grayson". Finally, he asked for introductions. But before Johann could say anything, however, others piped up and said who they were, and other stuff about them. Another kid also showed up, to Johann's surprise. Man, did he miss the party, Johann sighed. Everyone had managed to take down the four figures, but it would've been nice to have some extra help.
Finally, as things began to calm down a bit, Johann called down from the tree he was in.
"My name's Johann. Johann Matthias. I'm from the Village Bridge. Maybe you've passed through it once or twice, unless you aren't exactly travelers." He rubbed his nose. "As for interests... Card tricks are always fun. And sleeping. Can't go wrong with that." He looked at the fire, which was still bright as ever. "And one more thing... Be careful around me. You don't want to know how many memories I've accidentally erased and rewritten" Johann warned. The thought sounded a bit funny, perhaps a bit cuckoo, but everyone else had powers of their own, so maybe such wouldn't be regarded the least bit crazy.
