See, Rapid Spin helps soooo much, since SR hurts my Raichu. Still, can that set still wall? My team has a major ICE weakness, so Zong was necessary. And I also needed a Stealth Rocker, to compliment my Noctowl.
It walls, sure. His Defenses are great either way, but not as well as a more defensive Bronzong. It will regardless surprise the hell out of your opponent.
And actually, I just got an idea out of this. It's a mock-AgiliGross:
Bronzong @ Leftovers/Life Orb
Brave Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Attack, 6 Def/SpDef
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Trick Room
First, the EVs... in this case, HP is much more important than laying any in his Defenses. As is the case with most walls: you're supposed to max HP. And for this set, maxing Attack is obvious. Life Orb makes Gyro Ball insane, but Leftovers allows him to tank a bit more.
And now onto the moveset... everything was explained above, but I recalled he learned Trick Room. And, as far as I know, it doesn't directly affect Speed, so Gyro Ball's power wouldn't be reversed. Bronzong would just go first in, I'd say, every single solitary case. It's basically like Agility on Metagross. And it has the fortunate appeal of also supporting slower team members.
But once again, Skarmory walls him to no extent.
Just to cue you in on stats with this set, granted perfect IVs:
HP would be
338,
Attack would be
304 (101 points below Metagross XD)
Both his
Defense and Special Defense, with not a single EV, would end up at
267. Wherever you'd put the last 6 EVs, the stat would be
268. Respectable, I would say, since some sweepers can't reach that if you even max the stat. And with his insane amount of resistances, he can pull this off very well.If you have Wish support, the only thing this beast has to keep an eye out for are strong Fire attacks. And some (like Fire Blast from Garchomp, or Adamant Salamence) wouldn't dent him too badly.
