4th Gen Bug Catching Contest?

I think my game might be glitched otherwise HeartGold just hates me :c

I've entered the Bug Catching contest several times and every time I've stayed for the full 20 minutes. And it's fun and all but...
where's my Scyther?!

What're the odds of it appearing? Because I've found every other Pokémon I think...
Caterpie, Weedle, Kakuna, Metapod, Beedrill, Butterfree, Venonat and Pinsir, I think that's all. I can't find Scyther. Am I looking in the wrong place or something?

After the national dex, the chances of it appearing are 5%.
Same with Butterfree, Beedrill and Pinsir.

Why don't you try, using sweet scent instead of moving around. That helps me, also stay in the really tall grass.

I got one i refused to catch anything else. I found a few in the top part of the park with the dark grass.

I did have a glitch with on ROM where i handed my pokemon over caught something and for some reason i could use my own balls, and when it ended i never got my pokemon back :(

Ok, then thread closed. The rarer pokes in the bug catching contests are, well, rare, so just a matter of luck.
