5th Gen Bulbanews article: Can we catch 'em all? A post on Generation V's development

    So I was on Twitter today and found this article from Bulbanews talking about Black and White, their sequels, and the archeology of the media behind them.

    What do you think of this article? Does it do a nice job at explaining what Masuda thinks Generation V was meant to be? Or does its context not flow the same way to them as it does to you? Discuss.
     
    Reading the article, I was very intrigued by how Game Freak were planning to make 5th Gen more "independent" and "fresh" by letting go of the past and starting fresh, such as the new Pokedex and the region being distant from the others. It was an interesting and risky approach, and not everyone liked it but to me it was a well-executed attempt of starting fresh and revamping the franchise you knew.
