Hmm, although I doubt that they will be hinting at an RSE remake (who would want one, really?), that would definitely be an interesting plot line. Since Johto takes place 3 years before Hoenn, it is possible that we might meet Norman, the aspiring gym leader, and his son/daughter who dreams of becoming a trainer someday.
 
If the redhead is still in the story, I would hope Giovanni to make a cameo or more. Butch & Cassidy were sprited in Gen Two. The Crystal Girl would be a neat cameo.

Bebe cameo would be totally appropriate. Maybe even the Computer Guy from the Seven Isles o FRLG.

I also thought Flannery had family connection to Blaine connections, that Candice* had family connection to Pryce. Perhaps we'll be seeing girls...

*Candice references "cold & distant". Pryce was such in behavior, generally speaking. (game wise; I no watch the show)
 
dosen't prof. oak says something like there's a white rock in kanto like the one that make eevee evolve to galcieon maybe the woulb be inserted in kanto and the cameraman that filmed the search for the red gyarados will appear and the dude who runs the train,Blaine and someone in the victory road will say something about the bird trio went to sinnoh

i'd like a RSE remake, not right not obv but in the future, i loved them games, they were much better than DP in my opinion, but Platinum saved gen IV for me,
how do you know hoenn took place 3 years after johto? :S
 
I'm sure some Gen 3/4 character will make a cameo. Probably a Gym Leader or Elite Four.

It was stated that Kanto and Hoenn run in the same timeline for the games. It is also said that Sinnoh and Johto run in the same timeline as well, except some speculate that the Johto games happen a few weeks before the events of Sinnoh. So, with this information, I don't think Norman will be seen, because Johto happens 3 years AFTER Kanto and Hoenn. This would mean that Norman is already in the Hoenn Region as the Gym Leader in Petalburg City. Though, because of this, we may still recieve a few people talk about him, like someone mentioned a dialogue before.

About the White Rock, I wouldn't doubt some cameraman would show up, if it is an important event in the game that is. To see it is the same guy from what we had in DPPt would be pretty cool. Though, I don't think the White Rock has anything to do with Glaceon, as it was mentioned with Shaymin I believe. That we'll just have to wait and find out later.
 
Mr. Redhead awesome rival won't disappear. But a Giovanni cameo would be good since Giovanni is allegedly Silver's father (manga wise and hinted at in FRLG).
 
personally i dont see it as is my understanding the next games after these will generation 5 and then generation 3 remakes so its more likely that they will hint in the gen 5 games other wise they would most likely have started hinting about hg/ss in fire red and leaf green instead of generation 4

Even though some have not known about it, there were small references about Johto back in FireRed and LeafGreen. They referred back to another [possibly the same] Red Gyarados located back in the same Lake of Rage. They also hinted off some more on Silver having some kind of father-son relationship. The remakes don't necessarily need a person appearing as a remake. The reason I say this is because cameos appear in different ways, whether it be mentioned, an item, a person, etc. So, even though we may not have an actualy person show up [might though], we can still have some kind of normal person saying things about the other regions, other people, and more. I'm sure Hoenn will be mentioned somewhere in the game, it just seems probable to me. Though, just because it may be mentioned doesn't mean it is hinting off towards a remake of RSE either. Like you said, if they plan on remaking the Hoenn, more camoes from that region will appear in the next generation.
 
Maybe Jasmine will refer to her journey to Sinnoh, saying she went there for some time to train.

I completely forgot that Norman had came from
Johto. With that said I think there could be a chance
for him to make a cameo in HG/SS.

Jasmine will only refer to her Journey in Sinnoh if HeartGold and SoulSilver's timeline is after that of Sinnoh's. Except, this doesn't seem to be the case because Sinnoh got to hear about the discovery of eggs that came from Prof. Elm in Johto, which means the events of Johto are at least a few weeks before the events of Sinnoh. Meaning, Jasmine wouldn't have visited Sinnoh as yet.

Kanto and Hoenn's timeline are together, meaning they occur three years before that of Johto and Sinnoh. With this being said, Norman would already be in the Hoenn as a Gym Leader in Petalburg City. Having this information here, I wouldn't expect Norman to make an appearance, but at least be mentioned by some of the town folks. Except, it is possible that he can be taking a visit back to Johto after three years, so I won't rule out this being a cameo.

Earlier I said that since Norman would already be in Hoenn in HeartGold and SoulSilver, and this would more than likely be true. So, I agree with you on this one, because if he isn't physically seen in the game, then more than likely he'll be mentioned.
 
Maybe Whitney is Normans successor, and he comes back to visit her or something like that, or maybe Candice visits pryce, or something fun like that. or Maybe Prof. Birch (the hoenn guy if thats not his name, my bad) and Brandon come to prof elms lab when you get the national dex, but you have to beat Brandon to 'earn it' or something. As long as it's fun, and worth looking forward too.

Also wouldn't May be cameo'd? I don't follow the show that well but isn't she in the Jhoto region collecting ribbons?

I doubt it, they didn't put her as the female character but I get your point. i wish they put Krystal in.

That's only in the anime I think, idk since I read that somewhere \o/

Crystal could have a possible cameo and I think it would defintiely please all the Kris fans who want her back over the new female protagonist. As for May, I wouldn't expect it, because she's in Johto in the anime. The game doesn't run with the anime that much at all except for with Yellow Version. If they were to change this though and put May in just because, well I'd sure be a happy camper that's for sure. She could be put into for the introduction for Contests in Johto and/or Kanto, but I presume someone else might take that role sadly. It is a nice thought though, and I wouldn't mind it happening [I'll at least dream]. Though it isn't impossible, that's for sure.

That's what I was thinking. If they were to introduce contests, there's gotta be May somewhere there, right? Right??

DX I hope they don't replace that role too.
