    I know what the hell but i got a question. Can computers that are basically the average of whats used today(2GB ram 500GB HDD A good ol 9400 Nividia GeForce graphic card and the intel pentium duo core processor) be a bit wacky and a bit screwed up sometimes? Or is it just my internet? i mean all day it runs fine and then boom the internet is all screwey with me. So is it computer internet or me playing too much adventure quest worlds? XD

    I think you're the one who's being "ratarded".

    Well yea but its only firefox and messenger.

    Yes. Computers can be slowed down sometimes. I don't know what would make you think otherwise.

    WLM doesn't slow down on me nor does it be a memory hog (it's only using 19,000 K roughly atm)

    however firefox can due to memory leaks that haven't been fixed, try and find a copy of firefox ultimate optimizer (I say try since one of the places that have a link to it is down but you might find it if you google around)

    this will bring firefox from 200,000Kish (roughly) til about 5 - 1000Kish

    Switch from Firefox to Google Chrome. Google Chrome uses a LOT less memory than Firefox. Also you should disable background programs

    Start -> Run -> msconfig

    If you're on Vista and can't find the Run command, right-click your Taskbar and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Start Menu' tab, you'll see 'Customize'. Click it, and scroll down to select 'Run'. The Run command should now be in your Start Menu.

    Once you've run msconfig, go to the 'Startup' tab and uncheck all the programs. This won't have any adverse effects, as if you need a program you can run it manually.
