6th Gen Can cosplay Pikachu's nature be changed?

Because I've tried to change her nature over ten times and it's always Modest. Only the characteristic changes. Am I having bad luck? I saved the game right before you are given the Pikachu. Did that mess my chances up? It's weird everyone is talking about how you can soft reset to change it and it's not working for me. It goes straight to my PC because I have six Pokemon in my party. This is SO weird. Why won't it change? Everyone says it does O.O

I can easily tell you that the Pikachu can be any nature, because the one I ended up getting was Jolly. I think you have to save before entering a contest, because after you finish the contest you are immediately given the Pikachu.

Correction: you can save after the contest after you leave the dressing room, take a few steps to the left and the Pokemon Breeder will walk up to you and give you the Pikachu.

@OP: Did you have a Synchronize Pokemon as the lead Pokemon? This ability guarantees that the nature of any gift Pokemon you receive is the same as the user's.

It was Synchronize! My Espeon has it, thank you so much omg I had no idea that was why! Now it's nature is changing! Thanks I was like what is going on is my luck that bad but nope it was the ability! Appreciate the responses you guys thanks for the help! :)
