3rd Gen Can Ditto mate and produce egg?

In Science,the nucleus and egg fuses together because their nuclei fuses together.How about Ditto?Can it breed or mate with another pokemon and reproduce?

Yes. I do it all the time. I do a ditto and a Swampert. Anything. I use dittos as my cash maker.

lol fail. You totally can. As a matter of fact, it's the ONLY way to breed genderless pokemon.

I have been using Ditto to breed almost all my pokemon since the metal games. Its the best way to give your really bad playing friends good pokemon

Ditto is known for being the Pokemon breeder. As in, most people don't actually use it in competitive play, but they use it to breed like whoa.

However, Ditto can't mate with legendaries (except Manaphy in Gen IV) or each other.

Yaeh...Indeed Manaphy can reproduce and breed Phione.But Jynx and Snorlax I failed...Sobs...Trying to add them into pokedex.
