Can we pleeeease just rename the Art Gallery subforums?

    Home of the Sprites - Needs to be changed to allow pixel art in general. Pretty much all spriting is a form of pixel art, so it seems pretty silly to make people post non-sprite pixel art in the main Art Gallery. Lots of people seem to think that pixel art automatically equals a sprite. It doesn't help that the stickied 'Spriting Terminology' thread perpetuates this idea.

    Sprite Comics - This is slightly less imperative, but it would probably be a little better to just allow comics in general. Y'know, it might just encourage people to additionally actually make real comics instead of just ugly, unoriginal, overly-formulaic sprite comics. Just an idea.

    Trainer Cards and Graphics and Photography are fine as far as I can tell.

    seriously, I've suggested the HOTS one before but got ignored
     
    Well, hand art work, like on real paprer, needs to go on the phtography and graphics. But i agree with the thing to allow pixel art and stuff. The monthly "Sprite COntests" allow pixel art so why can't the whole forum?
    Also the comics one,hmmm i geuss i agree. But it should be split, liek sprites in one and original hand drawn inantoher.
     
    Yes! I totaly agree with this(this is the 45 time that I agree on this topic), but this always gets ignored...

    Anyway I also think that "The Spriting Terminlogy" should also be editet because not all pixel art is a sprite...

    As a mod of the subforums I highly support this idea. The reasons Allstories just stated are approximately what my views are aswell, so I shan't go into any detail.
     
    Plus, having a sprite contest is compromising the quality of the sprite contest entries. Like 60% of the entries are just retarded MSPaint comics that use existing sprites instead of original pixel art. It's ludicrous.
     
    Absolutely. I support the comics idea 100%. Let's get some flash comics, get this show on the road.

    I was planning to post something like that pretty long ago. But I kept forgetting and ran out of time at that point.
    100% agree with the idea. You explained everything that was bothering me a for a while. ^^
     
    what i sadi about the hand drwna art was that is shouldnt go in a computer generated art section. the graphics/Phottography is a part of the art gallery is it not Esupio

    More staff should support this and admins should work to it.

    Since when was the Art Gallery just for Computer generated art?

    Hand drawn art is not computer generated, which is why we call it hand-drawn. o_O G&P is a part of the art gallery, absolutely, and all computer generated art other than sprites or flash comics go there. Flash comics go in the Comics section, do they not?

    Drawings done in Paint and Photoshop and the like are permitted in the main gallery, and no, Flash comics go in the main Art Gallery, because they're not sprite comics. Hence my suggestion to make it open to all types of comics.
     
    Flash comics should not go in the art gallery, for Flash is a computer program. I wonder who thought of the idea of putting Flash comics in the Art Gallery... >_>

    Or we could just leave the name like it is because no one else has ever complained or gotten confused about it?
