Card Captor Sakura Fan Club Version 2.0

I like both of them the same as well - we were talking about the endings ..which is better.

I was just about to claim the anime/movie ending was the best but I read the last volume of the manga again today and now I'm undecided...again. ><

They extended the ending with the anime so that was a plus but the manga showed them all grown up in the end. Ack! I can't pick, they're both good. <3

Oh, and I support Syaoran x Sakura BUT I'm kinda sad for Meiling. She was my favourite character. C:

All grown up? neat!

Did they look like they do in Tsubasa?

Yesh! Although not as much as Tsubasa I don't think, they're what? 16-17 in TRC?

In the manga, after Li returns, they're in middle school. He was wearing a suit. Cx

I've been into CCS since about '99-'00 when they released the god awful dub in the US. I saw previews for "Cardcaptors" on Kids' WB and thought it looked like a cool show, plus it was on after Pokemon on Saturday morning, so I figured I'd add it to my Saturday cartoon schedule. I liked the show and faithfully watched it and eventually decided to research it on the internet. I found lots of information on Cardcaptor Sakura and how they had completely butchered the American version. I joined a CCS forum, one that's still somewhat active today, although all the CCS discussion has dried up and there are really only about 4 active members. Anyway, I eventually got around to watching the entire subbed series, plus both movies. I saw movie 2 before it was released in the US; that was back in the days when you had to get fansubs through tape trading, none of this fancy torrent stuff. I got a VHS tape of the second movie as well as some tapes of other series from someone on the CCS forums I belonged to.

CCS still remains my favorite anime series, hence my screen name. My favorite characters are Syaoran, Sakura, and Tomoyo. I love the relationship between Tomoyo and Sakura, even though Tomoyo has a bit of stalker mentality. I'm also a big fan of Touya and Yuki. That was one of the things that really pissed me off about the American version, how they edited out anything that might even be remotely suggestive between the two.

So, now that you know my CCS story, here's some goodies.

This is a CCS AMV I made a couple years ago, I'd like to know what everyone thinks of it.

Do you have a link of where I can see the pictures...As for the topic I like more of the anime version but that's just me but I like the manga version too...ah I can't decide which one I like more!

Guys the entire manga is here if anyone wants to read it.

CCS AMV

I became a fan of the dub as well, seeing as how they wouldn't air the sub when it first came out. But after I went to Canada to visit my cousin, who's a HUGE CCS fan, she loaded me with the manga and the movies and told me to watch the raw if I was a true fan. ^^; Course I can't read Japanese so the sub was the next best thing I could do.

Oh and I'm not a big fan of Green Day but the AMV as a whole was really good! Especially the ending where she held up her wand and the stars started falling, it was awesome! C:

Like Togu said, you can get the manga scans at mangafox, although, just for the hell of it, since there were only five pages, I'll upload them.

I guess a spoiler would be in order but I'm pretty sure everyone here doesn't really mind, if you do though, you know, don't press the buttons. xP

Sorry for the dodgy quality, dunno where my cousin got em from, I'm currently trying to find some clean pressed scans...or I could just start buying the books. ^^;

No problem. C:

I guess I also coulda put up some comparison scans of them in their juniors, just for those who can't see the difference, which is blasphemous for any CCS fan. xP

Oh! And I now remember which medium I prefer; it's the anime, ONLY because they added Meiling, my favourite character! As I mentioned before.

MangaFox has a lot of mangas that OneManga does not.

Oh, I stumbled across some manga shorts, much like the video specials (Tomoyo's Diary, etc.), a long time ago and forgot to save em. I think they were fan-made but they were scarily accurate to CLAMP's CCS style and the characters were kept well in-character too, which was what impressed me. I wish I could find em again, I deleted em so carelessly. ><

I guess no one has any idea what I'm talking about?

I have never heard of them.

I never heard of those either. Tomoyo is cool, but sometimes she gets obsessed over her camera. XD Yay, good...they have CCS manga in Mangafox. I still will need to get manga though. I will ask around in my bookstore so they can order it for me.

What was the main reason you watched the show or read the manga?

What was the main reason you watched the show or read the manga?

Well I grew up with the dub, but for Christmas my parents (or "santa") got me the first and second movie along with the clow and sakura cards and when I watched the second movie I was confuse then I did a little research (I was 10 at the time I knew computer internet and stuff like crazy) and then I found out what I needed to know so I watched the sub. and I was into it more then the Dub, but I like both versions...so yah that's my story..

What was the main reason you watched the show or read the manga?

Well because I was so into the whole anime in the United States...I was new to this. So when I saw Cardcaptor Sakura I was amazed of the characters and the story. A heroine getting cards and saving the world. I thought it was interesting. And one of my friends let me borrow some of the manga. And I liked it too. I just need to finish it now.

That's almost EXACTLY the same as me. I started with the dub when it first aired on Cheez TV, and because the dub kinda made Li the main character at the start of the show, that's what initially got me interested. ;; That was around when I was 10 but I only started getting into it seriously when I went to Canada to visit my cousin, who's a CCS nut! She lent me the movies and manga, so I started watching the subbed afterwards and I loved it!

*hugs Meiling plushie

You should totally finish the manga, it's fantastic! I kinda spoiled it on the last page of this thread (don't look xP) but still~ It's just a great series.

Oh, and I'm still searching for those fan mangas. >< I can't believe I got rid of em, I really want them back now...

Anyway~ You guys have probably seen this already but just thought I'd point it out, since it's awesome. A doujinshi made by barbypornea on deviantART, first page here.
