Entry 17:

Lots of Pokedex progress to report with this update!

Our last stop was in Celadon City where we decided to take a break after doing a little bit of exploring. We could have immediately taken on the local gym but we decided to do a bit more exploring of Kanto and see if we could help out solving what is going on at the Power Plant that everyone is talking about. We decide to make our way to the Power Plant by heading to Cerulean City and then to Route 9. Here on Route 9 we manage to catch a Marowak and a Fearow for our Pokedex. Once we arrive at the Power Plant we learn that someone stole a machine part. We got a tip that a shady character was hanging around Cerulean City and sure enough they were the culprit. We get the part back and deliver it to the manager of the Power Plant and save the day! After doing this we head back to Saffron City where we receive a Rail Pass from the Copycat after helping her find her lost doll. We can use this to quickly travel back to Johto. We figured now would be a good time to return to the region and catch a few missed Pokemon from before. Once we arrive back in Johto the first Pokemon we hunt down is the elusive Raikou. It was a bit tricky to find but luckily it didn't take too long and we managed to run into and catch it on Route 32. After catching Raikou we headed back to the Tin Tower in Ecruteak to catch another of the legendary beasts, Suicune. After Suicune we flew to Blackthorn and did some backtracking to the Ice Path where we caught a Sneasel, a Delibird, a Jynx, and a Swinub. Our Pokedex is quickly filling up now! Once we exit the cave we made a quick trip back to Goldenrod and caught a Ditto on the neighboring route of Route 34 and then took a trip to the National Park where we entered the bug catching contest and caught a Scyther. Since Scyther is a Pokemon that can evolve by trade we took the time to complete a few trade evolutions and evolved Scyther into Scizor, Onix into Steelix, and Graveler into Golem. We will soon head back to Kanto and continue on with our journey!

Entry 18:

After taking a short break we use the magnet train to make our way back to Kanto. The first thing we do is explore a bit more of Celadon City after learning about a Grimer infestation in a nearby pond. We make sure to help out by catching one. We then go to the gym and take down Erika for an easy victory. After obtaining our badge we decide to head to Pewter City to challenge the gym there. The quickest way to get to Pewter is through Diglett Cave. We head to Vermilion and as we get to the cave entrance we see it being blocked by a big Snorlax. We catch it and then continue on our way. On the way through the cave we manage to catch a Diglett and a Dugtrio for our Pokedex. Once we exit the cave we make our way north and immediately challenge Brock once we arrive in Pewter City. He was a piece of cake to beat! Now that Brock is out of the way it is time to take on Misty. Instead of flying back to Cerulean we decide to go the long way through Mt. Moon which was a good decision because we had a good battle with our rival there and caught a Clefairy! After we make our way through the cave we arrive back in Cerulean City and get ready to take on Misty. We found her hanging out on Route 25 where she agreed to take us on. We also caught a Butterfree while here. We fly back to the city and take her down. The last thing we do today is make a quick journey back to Johto for the bug catching contest since it's Thursday. We caught a Beedrill but did not win anything. We will rest up and head back to Kanto soon!

Entry 19:

The first thing we did when we resumed our journey was head back to the Pokemon League. We were low on supplies and beating the League was the easiest way to make some quick cash. This time around it was much easier as the team was higher leveled. After breezing through it we headed back to Johto to hunt for some legendary Pokemon. After a LONG search we caught Entei on Route 36. Now we have all 3 legendary beasts and are able to climb the Tin Tower and get Ho-oh, which we immediately did. The next step was to fly to Olivine and surf down to the Whirl Islands. This is where we caught a Horsea, a Seadra, and the legendary Pokemon, Lugia.
