[Question] Catching Pokemon in 7-Star Raids After End Date

I know this is a probably a dumb question, but I can't find a definitive answer anywhere. If you update your game with a 7-star raid, but don't catch the Pokemon until after the end date for one reason or another- i.e. not unlocking 6 and 7 star raids until after the event ended- does the Pokemon still count as legit? I know that it technically should, and that unless you trade the Pokemon no one would even know when it was caught, but I don't just want to just assume.

Yes, you can technically keep the event forever if you don't connect and update the game.
