Do you have a cat? I do. They are cute pets to own, and unlike dogs, they don't need so much attention. You only need to play with them for 10 minutes a day and they'll look after themselves for the rest of the day. Sure, you have to feed them, but that isn't really a big problem, especially when your cat hunts its own food.

What do you think about cats?

My friend had a cat. I had to admit, they are cute and very easy to mantain. But I don't like to have any in my house anyways because they are more destructive than dogs on average. Because dogs can actually be fixed (oh god) trained to not destroy.

i love cats, my BF has one. it think they are so cute when you play with them and the attack your hand XD

I've always wanted a cat, but my parents never let me have one. Their argument was that they were too difficult to potty-train.

I had one for the shortest time; my aunt found a feral pregnant cat, and took care of her until she gave birth to three kittens. Me and two of my cousins kept them-- over at my grandma's place, where my aunt and a few other relatives were staying-- for about two and a half weeks. (I kept the prettiest little white kitten. :3 It had a yellow spot on its head.) Then, for some reason, my uncle decided that we were 'getting too attatched to them', so he sold them to some random person on the street. >>; Yeah.

i have a cat. lol i bought him outside of a walmart for $10. when he was only 8wks. now he's goin on 4 years XD.
p.s. cats are win, that is all XD

I really like cats, but since we have a dog, I can't really have one. Though, I suppose I get enough cats when I go to my grandmother's house. She has 7 inside cats, and 4 outside cats that she's trying to catch. x_x

I think it's exactly the lack of dependence that makes a cat seem much less like a pet, and more like they're using their carer for food and shelter. Of course it's not a concious wrongdoing though, they're not sapient.
I'm not keen on cats, they don't do nearly enough to win my affection.

I have a dog and cat, they gey along fine; and the dog goes after cats it doesn't know, so I think it's just a case of letting the two animals bond.

I have a kitty cat! Her name is Shelby. I love her with all my heart. But I also have 2 dogs she likes to attack. She is awsome my cat, she does backflips xP

Quite the opposite actually. Cats have in-built potty training. All they need is a litter tray and dirt.
My cat is a Domestic Long Hair, and since he's a kitten (six months) he is very active. He's also very unusual. If you surprise him, he jumps six inches into the air. Other times, he does a backroll and bolts off. But usually, he's not very scared of other humans who don't have other cats. He doesn't like humans who have other cats because he smells their scent. And every time he finishes his wondering, he runs to me.

I used to have one. IMO cats are pretty cool. Not sure I would be able to choose between an adorable puppy or an adorable kitten though.

Dude, go with the cat. They are adorable. And dogs are unhygienic. Though they make very good playmates. I had this dog in Ethiopia who would always come to me in the mornings and want me to feed him bread. I would throw bread to him and he would leap for it.

I'm not really a cat person, but my sister has three cats and I absolutely love them. She has a mother cat and two kittens that she adopted. The mother we just call Mommy Cat and the kittens are Monster and Zombie. I personally would rather have a dog any day but I do like to play with my sisters cats.

I have four cats and I love them all to death. Although I prefer dogs, cats still mean just as much to me. I love the big cats like the lion and tiger, they're my favourite animals. Cats fur is so soft and it's fun to play with them for a little bit because they go crazy over toys.

im with kishoku i like dogs better, anyways i did have one cat but it was from the wild and very mean.

    Isn't that, you know, spamming/flaming?

Anyway, my cat, the son of our older cat, definitely isn't one of those cats that look after themselves. He's always hanging either around me or his dad, really. If I'm not around, he goes to sleep next to his dad and when I come back, he starts following me again. Also, whenever someone goes to kitchen, he's there, begging for food. And about half of the time I spend at home while I'm awake is spent sitting on my bed because that darn cat comes to sleep on my lap! He's doing it right now and I should be going soon.

So, my cat is a very un-typical cat. We also have a dog, and even though I have nothing against any dog, I have to admit I'm more of a cat-person, really. I'm too lazy for dogs
