    as it ays have u. i spent ages today trying to catch rayquaza with ultra balls but no luck then i tried a pokeball and everytime i tried it atleast rolled side to side. i did in the end catch it but what about you?

    Well, I have caught Articuno with almost full HP at lv. 50 with a pokeball. Then I think I caught Ho Ho as well with a pokeball.
     
    I caught Rejice on the first turn of the battle at full heath with a pokeball. My friend was watching at the time, we both laughed for a while.
     
    i would scoff and laugh if i hadnt caught one of my mewtwo that way...

    it happens, methinks its a glitch...
     
    I was lucky though but sometimes I fail to catch them with a pokeball but I usually paralyze them or make them fall asleep.
     
    I caught the three Regis with an Ultra Ball, and Timer Ball, and a Great Ball on Sapphire, a different ball for each one, so its not always a case of using the best ball, just a matter of luck
     
    For the sheer hell of it, I always throw a Pokeball to a legendary on full health to see if it'll catch it. Then when I tried it on Latios - IT WORKED! I was screaming for about 10 minutes, just in complete shock over it all. XD
     
    I think I caught Rayquaza with a PokeBall, but it was a while ago so I can't really remember. But I know I caught Mewtwo with a PokeBall, how can you forget an event like that? ^_^
     
    Remember people, that its RSE Pokemon only. If you want to talk on a more broader scale, I'll move it to General Games if you wish ^_^
     
    FRLG Wise I caught Mewtwo with a Pokeball straight away, full health, I was like holy **** I rule.

    RSE wise, I was able to catch Latios in Ruby with a Pokeball from full HP aswell, I always try it for fun.

    If the pokemon actually rolls or something I try again and again until it pops out immediately then I actually TRY to catch it.

    So all in all Legendary Pokemon catches w/Pokeball for me: 2 (Both Full HP)
     
    I tried capturing Regice once with an Ultra Ball back when I first got the game. I used up all 50 of them, and it didn't work. So I used ONE Great Ball, and it caught it. I was a bit shocked, but Regice was at half-HP. Guess it does depend on both luck and the current status of the wild Pokemon.
     
    This is 100% True:

    I was playing my friend's Crystal and she asked me to find Lugia for her. I did and when Lugia and I went into battle, I thought: "What would happen if I use a regular Pokeball right now?"
    So I used a POKEBALL and Lugia went right in. 1 try. 100% health, no status problems, no cheats, nothin'. I was lucky that time. I named her Lugia "Junior" and then she yelled at me.

    i struggled to catch articuno when it was asleep, had a tiny bit of HP left with an ultra ball! i had to chuck a fair few... can't believe people can do it with pokeballs!
     
    I caught RayQuaza with an ultra ball code.It was at full health and i chucked and ultra ball while pressing a+b.This techniqe seems to work 85% of the time if you are me.
