Recntly I've been so bored that I just made lots of random teams. This team was a creation of mine that did quite well except for handling Gyarados. So I chucked a Vaporeon on and the results were outstanding. Keep in mind that a lot of my success was due to CBpert being domination. In fact the only match I lost was when Swampy died off a crit and that was the end and when I played Vance. I guess its ratey-rate time!

    The Team:

    Metagross@ Leftovers
    Adamant
    204 HP/80 Atk/224 Def

    Meteor Mash
    Bullet Punch
    Earthquake
    Stealth Rock

A great lead. Nothing else to say. Anyways, a fun option that does well against the suicide leads that platinum is bringing more of. Earthquake for the surprising multitude of Heatran leads that I see. This thing is also great at taking hits and dishing them out. Yep, Metagross does it all. Meteor Mash for a powerful STAB and Bullet Punch for the last hit or finishing off faster pokemon because of Metagross' crappy speed. Stealth Rock is for obvious reasons.

    Celebi@ Light Clay
    Timid
    252 HP/70 Def/188 Spe

    Light Screen
    Reflect
    Recover
    Grass Knot

Celebi is a great Dual Screen pokemon. It can switch into and take hits that otherwise down another pokemon. A Gyarados with one DD under its belt using Ice Fang is a paltry 3HKO doing only roughly 40% damage. Plus with a Reflect or Light Screen up it's even more durable and it can share this gift with the rest of the team. Recover to make the durable pokemon even more durable. Grass Knot to rid myself of Swamperts. I never make teams without a move to fry Swamperts.

    Swampert@ Choice Band
    Adamant
    240 HP/212 Atk/56 Def

    Waterfall
    Earthquake
    Stone Edge
    Ice Punch

CBpert ftw! The sheer unexpectedness of this is astounding. Many teams don't have a counter to this and it often gets a free sweep. Waterfall and Earthquake are for a nice double STAB. Ice Punch for dragons and Stone Edge for Gyarados. Honestly this thing is just sooo bulky. Great Rock resist and elctric immunity. Ttar counter lol but it's all I got.

    Vaporeon@ Leftovers
    Bold
    252 HP/252 Def/6 SpD

    Wish
    Roar
    Hidden Power [Electric]
    Surf

My Gyarados counter since I desperately needed one before when this slot was a Heatran. The evs in Special Defense are to give my team some special durability aside from Light Screen. My Gyara and Mixape counter this does good as you would expect from Vaporeon. Wish is good for the team and Roar for phazing.

    Heatran@ Choice Scarf
    Timid
    40 HP/252 SpA/216 Spe

    Fire Blast
    Earth Power
    Hidden Power [Ice]
    Toxic

A top of the line revenge killer that has some bulk. Fire Blast, Hidden Power [Ice] and Earth Power hit everything in the game for at least neutral. Toxic is great for those bulky waters and other things who survive my other attacks. This is my primary switchin to Scizor.

    Machamp@ Leftovers
    Adamant
    108 HP/148 Atk/252 Def

    Dynamicpunch
    Payback
    Rest
    Sleep Talk

Machamp is a great status absorber and a great Tyranitar counter. Dynamicpunch for cunfusion and Payback for Rotom and Gengar who switched in on a Dynamicpunch. I need this to counter Tyranitar as I couldn't take hits from Cbtar very well before I added this beast to the lineup.

The lead looks ok, but you might want to switch those def evs into special def to take Fire Blast/Flamethrower from lead azelf better.

This looks pretty good. You can keep Roar, or replace it for Ice Beam for the dragons.

When you switch in to Scizor, be sure its in revenge kill style. Heatran can't switch in on a Superpower and live.

Stone Edge is much better, since Rotom's and Gengar's statusing can be Rested off, and Gar can't do much to this set. Change your EVs to the set in bold.

Overall, a pretty solid team, I just made a few nitpicks pretty much. You need to be careful with Vappy though, as nothing else can stop Mixape from thrashing through your team. I kinda don't see the extreme need for Wish support (but Wish support is always good), since all of your pokemon bar Meta and possibly Pert are either hit-and-run or have a recovery move. If you want to counter Mixape better, and feel like you don't need wish, you could consider a Starmie >>Vappy. Just a thought. Don't HAVE to do it.

EDIT: Your strategy is also really nice. Clearing the way for Swampert to do its thing. You pretty much have counters to everything that can stop it. Bravo.

I prefer to keep the defense evs because I actually see more physical based Azelfs than special
Plus there are a lot of other things leading like Metagrosses that I need to survive Earthquakes from
