Changes in the anime come to the 5th gen

Why is not bringing Misty back on a permanent basis "smart"? I could see it helping to save the show since the majority of her fans have said that if she becomes a main character on the show again they would watch it. And even then people who are not fans of Misty would like to see the original main cast reunited permanently. Misty's departure is one of a few things I blame for the deterioration of the show along with the majority of the Advanced Generation fillers and the English dub voice cast change. From what I have seen both May and Dawn would have worked better as recurring characters appearing during the contesting parts of the show rather than main characters. There are also hints that this could very well be the last generation for the anime so we really should know IF there is going to be a fifth generation one in the first place.

I agreee that bringin Misty back wouldn't be abad idea but I actually think if they want to be succesful in bringing her back that it was very necesarry to send her away because it sort of made the watchers understand Ash's relationship with Misty which has always been cloudy. The reason they were able to bring Brock back was because it's always been evident that Brock was Ash's mentor but if they were to have brought
Misty back right away it would have ruined that very important moment at the end of Master Quest.

Acually whoever posted the whole battle frontier thing in jhoto your wrong. It would probably have all the facilities scattered through nattle island as its acually pretty important in game. And cause jun has palmer as dad could replace for the whole frontier arc.
Anyway on the whole 5th gen i would really find it funny if its placed in the future 20 years later were ash ahs a child with misty and stupidly enough the 5th generation pokemon get revealed to them right at the beggining of the show. Or mabye a child with aoi. I would prefer aoi.

What important moment? You mean the one that secured her place as the Cerulean City Gym Leader?

Anyway, Misty is great as a recurring character. Her appearances are good and refreshing. All we need is another guy to go....

But what do you think of Johto fillers? Are they any better?

well yes the one that made her gym leader but im acutally talkin about the end of the episode. i think it was called gotta catch ya later. watch ull no wat i mean. johto fillers? i didnt really like the johto at all actually and it was ridiculous how many legendaries they brought into the show in johto

Brock? He's a random guy. He HAS to join something (eg. contests) to prove his use in the anime. Providing food and being the all-knowing guy is not what a trainer should do. Where's his gym leader pride???

As usual, I think a female replacement would come with Ash, her bike gets zapped by Pikachu, and demand him to return it, then forget that her bike has ever existed. Look at Dawn and May. They seem to have forgotten their first purpose - to get back their bike. So far, Ash owes three females bikes. (That is always a major plot hole. Dawn and May has never reminded him about the bike as time progresses.) But this time, maybe she'll be a gym battler, blah blah blah.

Ash might change his motives from gym battling to contests. He has the potential, but I would miss his gym life... Cuz he also has the talent in gyms. Oh, what am I to do... :(

I remember it. Misty got her bike back, she left, and made some recurring rivals for heself basically.

@Sora: Misty got her bike back. May and Dawn don't seem to care about it, especially Dawn.

the future

The fifth gen has already gotten trailers or something in Japan and apparently Misty joins up with Ash again and they travel with someone. Ash also, supposedly, starts considering his future. Mabye he'll consider becoming a Fronteir Brain or a Gym Leader... or even one of the Elite four!

i sure hope misty comes back, there has been massive demand for the return of the tomboyish mermaid! i am sure ash will continue his battling quest not become a leader and i hope the contest sub plot is dropped

I don't know what might happen, all I know is that the show's still going to suck. They can't undo what they already did. I'd like to see Ash catch some cool Pokémon and then actually keep it, instead of releasing it.

Wouldn't expect too much.

-Ash dumps off all of his Pokemon minus Pikachu at Prof. Oak's lab
-Dawn will be replaced by the 5th gen girl.
-Brock tags along.
-Team Rocket follows Ash to the next region. They really need a change of uniform.
-Ash catches the grass starter.
-Just the same old same old that we've been seeing for the past ten years.

Once again it will probably be like the all the old seasons but I think the old characters should come back because that is when pokemon was at its best. For Example, Misty should come back along with May and Max and Brock and Dawn should stay. I also think it would be a good idea to have a huge contest that determines the best coordinator so Dawn and May would have something to compete in. Then there should be a league that determines the pokemon master and you should need a number of badges to qualify or be a gym leader or in the elite four. That way Ash, Brock, Max, and Misty could compete and Ash could bring back all of his pokemon for the league.

Lol i hate the new episode titles, they arent as good or clever as past series (4kids times). Now they just sound like the other crappy children series (like Pokemon). I miss the times in which the titles had a reference to something. They still probably have but they are not obvious and refer to things no one who watches pokemon knows.

What I Think will happen:
They either skip straight to the next generation of Pokemon games or have a short filler season like Orange Islands or the Battle Frontier.

If there is a filler season:
Maybe Dawn and Ash go to Ore or a new fictional place for a short amount of time, and Brock will go back to the Gym briefly and maybe Tracy or Todd or a new random person will join them. That probably won't happen....but who knows.

If not:
Same old, same old. Ash will atleast get one of the new starters and a bird to blow away dust and pop the team rocket balloon. Maybe he'll get farther in the final league or something.....Maybe they'll suprise us though.

What I want to see:
Maybe keep Dawn and replace Brock(he could either go back to the gym or get involved with Ivy again)....They should calm down on these new characters. I would like to see Team Rocket give up and Jessie and James get married like in The Electric Tale of Pikachu or even Jessie concentrating on Coordinating more and James maybe even replacing Brock and becoming a normal trainer and getting Growlithe back, or even replace Brock with another Gym leader randomly...I mean, Flannery has a huge fan following and would be pretty popular.
I would also like to see Ash swing it old school and use Charizard, Bulbasaur and Squirtle again. Even return for Pidgeot, Primape and find Butterfree (That will probably never happen) I also miss Totodile and Bayleaf.
Or how about Jimmy or Marina from the Legend of Raikou. They were pretty cool....maybe even show more Gary....Of course I know all of this would never happen.
