In Pokemon Conquest, you could unlock a hot spring that changed the ability of your pokemon to what ever you want. The better ability of that mon was triple the price, they knew which ones were better.

Add what ever limitations, restrictions, hoops to jump through, but this is a great idea. Sometimes you breed a perfect pokemon, but the ability is wrong, or you just want to TRY a new ability that is hard to get.

Thay don't have to make it easy, but it would be a nice option. Say beating the Elite 4 earns a "training medal" that can be used to change the ability of a single pokemon.

What do you think? Could this work in the Main Series Games?

Weird. I never played Pokemon Conquest before, so I did not know this. But back during Generation 4, before Conquest was released, I thought of an idea of a hot spring method being used to change a pokemon's IVs. Eerily close.

I would really like this feature. The fact that it's been in an official pokemon game means it could very well happen, although that's just wishful thinking. Abilities are 1000 times more important than natures and IVs, so if there's a method to change any of these, I'd choose abilities.

it'd be nice, but it'd make a lot more OU pokemon completely broken >_<

It would be cool, but not something I would want. I see it as each Pokemon is given an ability like it is the one thing they are best at, sorta like how people have one thing that they can say they are best at. Also changing abilities would take away from the challenge of catching a perfect Pokemon with the right ability, IVs, nature etc.
