While you're at it you may want to add shoulder gaurds. Make it look more like some kind of light armor. I would also suggest to remove the helmet and give him some long hair.

Png file plz, the one you showed me was a .jpg file, which screws up a lot. To add hair add one or two pixels where the ears are, for bangs add a one pixel layer under the helm

Shoulder guards meh, never done them so I cant help u with that
