Hi Everyone:)
Is this the right place to find advice on old pokemon cards' rarity?
I have a 1st edition Charizard card bought in the Italian market. The card is shadowed and the copyright line reads "© 1995, 96, 98, 99 Nintendo, Creatures, GAMEFREAK. © 1999-2000 Wizards."
According to relentlessdragon.com (sorry, I cannot post links) the website below, Pokemon first set was printed as a limited edition 2 times. On both occasions cards were shadowless but only the first print included the logo " Edition 1".
Afterward, an unlimited edition of the base set was printed 6 times. Cards were shadowed and had no logo "Edition 1". Only the 6th print available in the UK shows "© 1999-2000" in the copyright line.
Now, this is a bit confusing as my card is shadowed but also has the "Edition 1" logo. Moreover, since I purchased it in Italy, it cannot belong to the UK-distributed print series.
Can anyone help me to assess the rarity of the card?
Many thanks!!
Davide
