    Hi Everyone:)

Is this the right place to find advice on old pokemon cards' rarity?
I have a 1st edition Charizard card bought in the Italian market. The card is shadowed and the copyright line reads "© 1995, 96, 98, 99 Nintendo, Creatures, GAMEFREAK. © 1999-2000 Wizards."
According to relentlessdragon.com (sorry, I cannot post links) the website below, Pokemon first set was printed as a limited edition 2 times. On both occasions cards were shadowless but only the first print included the logo " Edition 1".
Afterward, an unlimited edition of the base set was printed 6 times. Cards were shadowed and had no logo "Edition 1". Only the 6th print available in the UK shows "© 1999-2000" in the copyright line.

Now, this is a bit confusing as my card is shadowed but also has the "Edition 1" logo. Moreover, since I purchased it in Italy, it cannot belong to the UK-distributed print series.

Can anyone help me to assess the rarity of the card?

    Many thanks!!
    Davide

I'll be honest, I've been doing a lot of research into Italian releases of Base Set Charizard cards that match yours and I'm coming up pretty empty handed. :( I'll keep searching but regardless, if you got a real Charizard card, you can always make good money from it.

Thanks for your feedback. I'll have it graded and then see how the market reacts... I was hoping to find some general knowledge on the topic before talking with certifying agencies.

Sorry man, I wish I could have been of more help. I'm just not familiar with Italian printings of Base Set cards nor what the norm is for them, not to mention the language barrier. But I do agree, maybe reaching out to a grading company would help you find more information and at the very least give you a more definitive handle on the price!

    Best of luck to ya!
