Here is where you can discuss Chimchar's heated encounter with its former Trainer in "Chim - Charred!"

Wow, that was epic. What really got me, was when Brock siad:

"For all we know, that could be Chimchar's true power..."

What the? If the writers had the guts to put that in, something WILL happen somehow...

I know dang... i thought Chimchar was gonna burn up the whole forest. Glad that Buizel and Piplup were there. Chimchar got REALLY mad after Ursaring's Hammer Arm... I thought that owned him then he came out of those rocks like a monster with red eyes

If that power grows any more, he might evolve =/

Nope, the people on YouTube are being slow again. You can usually watch it there by now (no idea what time it airs in the US or what time it is here, but it's 21:10 in the UK...) We'll have to wait until tomorrow, those lazy people XD

I really want to know the Paul and Ash conversation, all I know from Japanses version is Ash was talking about himself "ore wa", come on...can't wait for the dub!

I loved this episode a lot. The way Tea rocket didn't do anything to interupt the episode's story was great. I'll just make a few points no one will bother to read now.

-Team Rocket talking about knuckle sandwiches. Yummy.
-Paul battling a Drapion would've been epic.
-Gligar looking really cute when it was going to cry. Then wanting to get some training in and ends up battling Gliscor. Then loses. Shamed.
-I knew Pikachu was the leader of the group of Ash's team still.
-Dawn has some pretty funny lines.
-Brock thinking Dawn shouldn't get involved with the bond between trainer and pokémon. Why you!
-Ursaring was pretty good at battling wit all his attacks.
-Gliscor uses Gullontine.
-Chimachar goes bananas.
-I heard Indigo league music in the beginning. Awesome.
-Unfortunatley, the battle never finished.

9/10 in my book.

I saw this ep this morning. I was so sure Chimchar was gonna evolve. Sheesh. Those red eyes made it looked pozessed!! [can't remember how to spell that word.] And it a way I suppose it was, with all that power.

You should use a torrent to get the latest episode. Provided you have a decent connection (basically something that isn't dial up) if you go on a torrent site like isohunt and search for the episode title "Chim-charred!" you'll be able to find a torrent for the dub of it. It's only around 170 ish Mb so it'll only take five minutes to download due to the high number of seeders early on. I normally search for the new episode at 10 pm (UK time) and most of the times it's uploaded by then, however occansionaly I have to wait till Sunday morning to get them.

As for the episodes itself, it was a really good episode. Seem to go by really quickly which is always a sign of a good episode. It wasn't one of the usual, Ash and friends meet someone with a new pokemon, team rocket try to steal pokemon etc. It was different, which I liked. Gligar and Chimchar were excellent and it was really refreshing to see their personalities shine in this episode. Only bad thing was that I thought the whole end thing with Ash holding Chimchar to trying and bring it back to it's normal self while it was on fire, was a bit tacky.

The episode was great. Now we know that Gliscor's attack was Knock Off and not Shadow Claw or Night Slash or whatever. :#

It's too bad that the Pokemon Ranger special is going to be airing, so we won't see the battle with Crasher Wake until the 22nd (!). Shameful, because the best episode in the entire arc thus far comes like, three episodes after the battle. Perhaps they want us to get a great Christmas present for that episode? :)

Can't be bothered to make my review more readable at the moment XD Epic episode, anyway. Paul is ABSOLUTLY right! Ash got annoyed that Paul only entered the tournament to train, but that's exactly what Ash did with the contest...

- Gligar is TOO cute jumping on Ash
- OUCH! Paul just let Gligar hit a rock
- Pikachu greets Paul happily XD
- Urgh, I forgot Gliscor's voice was horrible
- Guillotine is pronounced gee-a-teen!? I've been pronouncing it gill-uh-teen!

Good one!! It is really ironic when you think of it that way. But I think Paul was just trying to irk Ash...and I think it worked. ;)

I completely agree, the thought the personal development that Gligar and Chimchar got was great.

I was a fantastic episode, and I really enjoyed it. Some funny lines in there too, I had some laughs. (Or maybe it's a laugh-at-everything day, who knows, still awesome)

You kidding? There's better ways to hurt him. I'd like to see Chimchar actually win against Paul as he is. You know, teach him a lesson in humility.

This episode is an epic winner. Loved the battle, Gligar's antics, and Chimchar going crazy was absolutely intense.
