Choose Your Own Adventure - Kanto Edition

-Catch Nidoran (Male)

As you wander around Route 22 you look for some new pokemon. You encounter a lot of Rattata, but arn't interested. After about a half-hour of looking, your about to give up when you see small, puprle pokemon with big ears and spikes all over it's body, nibbling on a large tuft of grass.

Leer, Peck, Focus Energy

It doesn't seem to have noticed me, you think. So you crouch down a sneak towards it. You quitely take out Squritle's poke'ball. Suddenly, it perks it ears and looks right at you. You freeze. For a long moment you and the pokemon stare at each other. Then it starts to turn and run. Before it can get to far, though you throw Squritle's poke'ball right in it path. Immediatly Squritle blows bubbles to stop the pokemon. The pokemon jumps over the bubbles, and lands on Squritles head, and starts pecking on Squritle's head. As it's pecking Squritle, Squritle grabs it and hurls it off, and fires off a Water Gun. It get's a direct hit. The pokemon's soaked and struggeling to get up. While it's hurt, you take the chance to throw a poke'ball. It's an instant success. You Caught A Nidoran!

After you caught Nidoran, you ran to the poke'center to heal your new pokemon along with Squritle. It turns out it got poisoned somehow. Well you now have two pokemon, two unknown TMs, and time left to one more thing before it get's dark. What will you do?

-Go to the Poke'mart
-Go to Route 2
-Check out the Gym

You decide that the Poke'mart is a good last place to visit before ending the day. You move off in the direction of the poke'mart. When you get their you see it's the same guy who gave you the package for Professor Oak. "Hey, it's you again.' he says. You walk up to the counter. "Here." he hands you a small booklet. "This is a guide to all the most current TMs and HMs. Professor Oak said you might need it." You put the guide in your bag. While your putting it away you notice the nugget. You pull it out. "Hey. How much can I get for this?" you ask. The guy looks at it for a second, pockets it, then says, "You can now get any items for a total of 5000 free. You decide to get 10 antidotes and 10 paralyze heals and 1 poke'ball, and get the leftovers in cash.

Afterwards, you head back to the poke'center to see if you can get a room fo the night. You do. The next morining you head off to route 2. It isn't long before you come to the Viridian Forest. You see a path a little ways to the left of your position. As you go through, it immidiatly get darker. The canopy is so thick, that barely any light can get through. Time to do something.

-Training Session (Nidoran)

You decide it's time Nidoran caught up with Squritle. Afterwards, while your wandering through the forest, you hear this strange buzzing noise. Then, from in front of you, you see someone running towards you. It's this guy, who looks about a few years older then you.

You wonder why he's running, and decide to ask him when he gets close. But when he gets close enough to ask, he just keeps on running, yelling "RUUUUNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!"It kind of supprises you, but then you see what was chasing him. At the sight of it you just turn in the same direction. You catch up to him quickly and ask "Why are you being chased by a swarm of Beedrill!?!?!?!" "I just wanted to catch a Weedle!" he cries. The two of you just keep running. After a few minutes you start to get a little tired. You know you can keep going all day, but the guy look like him might collapse. you have a few choices.

-Keep Running
-Turn and fight!
-Peal off in another direction and leave the guy.

-Turn and fight

You know the guy running next to you has been running for a lot longer, and most likely won't last much longer. So you decide to turn and fight off as many Beedrill as you can. You through out both Squritle and Nidoran. Squritle's not a poision-type so he'll need to stay back and stick with Water Gun. Nidoran, on the other hand, is a poision-type, and get in close with Peck and Double Kick. "Squritle! Water Gun any Beedrill you can reach! Nidoran! Get in there and use Double Kick and Peck!" you call. For a few minutes you Pokemon engage the swarm of Beedrill. But, it seems their are too many, and Squritle and Nidoran are getting tired. Suddenly you hear "Go Butterfree! Use Confusion!" It's the running guy! "Hey! If you had a pokemon, how come you didn't fight the Beedrill before?!" you ask. "Your pokemon are already getting tired. And you have two!" he said. My one Butterfree wouldn't stand a chance. Here." he hands you two potions. "Use these on your pokemon." You use the potions and send your pokemon back out. It doesn't take too much longer before all three pokemon are getting tired again. "When are these Beedrill gonna stop!?!" you yell. Suddenly your pokemon start to glow and change shape. You now have a Nidorino and Wartortle! After evolution, both pokemon are a lot stronger. They finished off the last of the Beedrill in no time at all.

"Hey, thanks alot." says the running guy. "I thought I done for there for a little while. My names Ray. Mabye we'll see each other again." And with that he walks off. After an hour or two you make it out of the forest, and into Pewter City. It's about late afternoon. You can do a few things before it gets late.

-Check out the Poke'mart
-Retire of the day. It's been rough.

-Check out the Museum
