Choose Your Own Adventure - Nuzlocke Style

*Oh right, I still had this thread semi-going*

Still in the laboratory, you open the Pokéball and a red beam of light comes out. It materialises into a Torchic. It seems relieved it's out of its tiny capsule, but after looking around, its breathing starts to accellerate. You try to comfort it.
"It's alright, little buddy, I won't hurt you." The Torchic looks at you and opens its beak.

"Where is the professor?"

It talks. It talks. A talking Pokémon. You don't know what to say. Speechless, you stare at the Torchic who just spoke, and it looks back at you timidly, expecting an answer.
"The professor..." you try to say. "He... He's not here. The girl is looking for him."
"May! Where is she? Can I see her?" The Torchic is obviously angsty because it doesn't know you. You try to calm it down and worry about the fact that it can talk later. "I'll tell you what. We'll go look for that May together, and then we'll all look for the professor."
"Ummm, okay..." the Torchic says reluctantly. You ask: "What's your name?"
"It's Red." "Red?" "The professor isn't that good at coming up with names."
"Oh, ok. That explains it."

What to do now?
1) Look for May
2) Train for a bit
3) Buy Pokéballs

I choose you! Look for may! We gotta save the proffeser.

Look for May.

Being with her is safer than going around on your own and buying pokeballs just wastes time. I don't think it'll end well if you get there with your freshly obtained pokeballs just to find them both dead due to the stalling.

Training for a bit just helps risk you getting you and your pokemon killed (there isn't a pokemon center in this town. just a way to rest at the house which will take up too much time).

I'd say rescue is the way to go. After all, you can convince May and her father into giving you a reward for your efforts later which could mean another pokemon.

You go back to the place where you saw the 'corrupted' Zigzagoon. The puddle of blood still creeps you out. You have a hunch whose blood it could be... But you shake off the thought and quickly go past the place, to Oldale Town.
You look around the town to see if May is there, but you only find a weirdo who's looking at his own footprints, thinking they belong to some kind of Pokémon. You heal Red at the Pokémon Center, despite the fact that his health is full, and accidentally heal him again due to impatience.
The market is closed, so May can't be in there.
You head for the route north of Oldale Town. There are Wingulls circling above your head, ready to scoop up any food you might have with you the moment it falls. You get annoyed and command Red to scare the Wingulls away. Red meekly tries to catch the Wingull with a Scratch attack before catching several super-effective Water Guns with its body. You hurry for the Pokémon Center to heal the severe injuries Red just acquired.
"Wh-what were you thi-thinking?!" Red yelled angrily, although still in his awkward way of speech. "I was thi-this close to d-d-dying!" "Sorry..." you reply, "I wasn't thinking. I figured, since you're a Pokémon, you can fight others." "No-not Water Pokém -aagh- Pokémon!" "Look, I said sorry." You realise how stupid your mistake was. From what you understood from what May said earlier, Red really could have been dead. It happened to the Treecko...
"Just make su-sure it does-doesn't happen aga-ain." Red stumbled over his words. "Let's jus-just find M-may alre-ready."

I'm awful for making most decisions end up the same way... Just give it some time, the story is still in its baby stage.

A) Head back to Route 103
B) Investigate the puddle of blood
C) Try to get past the man blocking your path to Route 102

Investigate the blood puddle.

For all we know there could be an injured person there still alive seeking help and you know what that would mean? free items.
