Chapter One: The Journey Begins

This is a story about a sixteen-year-old boy named Shawn. He was a normal kid, he hated school, and of course, loved Pokemon. For as long as he could remember, he waited for the day when he would turn sixteen and be old enough to have his first Pokemon. He spent every bit of his free time either studying the different Pokemon of the world, or helping Professor Oak in his lab. Shawn loved when Oak would tell him stories about when he was a trainer, and of course, stories of Ash Ketchum. Shawn idolized Ash. He dreamed of one day becoming as great a trainer as Ash.
*brrrrrrrriiiiiiing* *brrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiing*
Shawn's eye opened. He looked at his alarm clock. *11:00am* "Crap! I'm two hours late! I set my alarm wrong!" He jumped up out of bed, turned his alarm off and quickly threw on some clothes. Today was the day! Shawn was going to finally receive his first Pokemon and he somehow managed to mess it up! He bolted down stairs. He was almost at the front door when his Mom yelled, "Come here!" He walked over to her. "I know you're excited, dear, but you have to eat something." Shawn, very annoyed, hastily replied, "But Mom! Oak is waiting for me! I have to go!" "The longer you argue and don't eat, the longer he will have to wait, Shawn." He stormed to the fridge, took out some Miltank milk and Ditt-Os, and made a bowl of cereal. He quickly gobbled down his cereal. When he finished, he jumped up, tossed the bowl into the sink, and bolted out the front door before his mom could say a word.
Half-way to Oak's Lab, he heard his mom yell, "I love you, honey! Good luck with your first Pokemon!" He reached the lab, but, to his dismay, it was closed. There was a sign on the door that read: "In Viridian City researching the herd of Stantler that wandered into it. Back in 2 days. Oak" Shawn dropped to his knees. He was devastated. He had waited his whole life for this day. He got to his feet and headed for home. Suddenly, he heard a large bang. He turned around, and in the distance, he saw smoke. It was coming from Cinnabar Island. He stared and wondered what had happened. Then, a second explosion. A huge object, surrounded by a red flame, hurtled out of the smoke and into the sky. Then, another object, seeming to be surrounded by lightning, hurtled into the red object. There was a bang and then a loud screech. There was a small explosion in the air. Then a beam of ice hit the center of the explosion. All three objects flew in different directions. Then it hit Shawn! He thought to himself, "Moltress, Zapdos and Articuno are fighting!" This confused him. He heard from Oak that Ash, with the help of Lugia, put Moltress, Zapdos, and Articuno back to rest. "Why are they fighting again?" He stared in shock as the three birds of legend flew towards each other. Then, just before they were going to collide, Lugia shot straight up into the air, hitting all the birds. All four began to fight furiously. Shawn could tell this wasn't a battle. They were fighting to the death.
Through the sounds of the battle, Shawn heard something rustle nearby. It came from a bush near the lab. Shawn curiously walked over to it. He began to move the bush's branches to find out what was inside. He paused for a moment and heard a soft cry. "Mew..." it sounded like a hurt Skitty or something. He started searching harder. Suddenly, a pink blur shot out of the bush, hitting Shawn in the face, knocking him over. Confused, he looked up, and staring back at him was Mew. "Mew mewmewmew mew me-" *Bang* A purple light collided with Mew and sent it flying. Shawn sat up. He looked to his left, and before him, stood Mewtwo. Mew, in a pink blur, flew straight into Mewtwo. Mewtwo shot back wards, hitting the ground, creating a huge cloud of dust. "MEW!" Mew seemed excited at this blow. Just like Moltress, Zapdos, Articuno, and Lugia, they too, were fighting to the death. The dust was pushed away by Mewtwo's psychic energy. Angered by this attack, he used Psychic on Mew. Mew dodged it, but barely, then responded with its own Psychic attack. Mewtwo was hit dead on, but it didn't even seem to phase him. He began to charge up his psychic energy to prepare for a super-charged Confusion attack. Just as he was about to release the built up energy, he was hit by a a huge blast of fire, a stray attack from Moltress. Mewtwo, taken by surprise, released his Confusion attack in Shawn's direction instead of Mew's. Shawn, now on his feet, jumped out of the way. The attack hit a nearby tree, which exploded into a cloud of dirt, smoke, and shards of wood. Mewtwo, now furious, turned and bolted towards the fighting birds, Mew following close behind, shooting Psychic attacks. All six began to fight furiously. "What is happening!?" Shawn said aloud.
Shawn sat and stared at the chaotic battle. He heard a door open. One of Oak's aids was leaving the lab. He seemed like he was in a hurry, until he noticed Shawn. "Shawn!" he yelled. "Very weird things have been happening! Pokemon are leaving their normal habitats, becoming agitated and are fighting! It almost seems as if they are trying to kill one another!" Shawn shifted his gaze to the legendary Pokemon battle. "I know... Look over there..." Shawn pointed. The aid turned pale, his jaw dropped, and his eyes nearly popped out of his head. "Are those..? Shawn! Oak wanted to wait and do this himself, but there is no time to waste! Here!" He handed Shawn a pokeball. "This is Totodile. You must train him. There is no time to loose! I am going to Viridian City. Train Totadile. When you think you are strong enough, go to Viridian City and find me. There, I will give you further instruction. This is of a dire nature Shawn! You must train Totadile as quickly as possible! Also, here are five pokeballs, should you find a strong Pokemon on your way to Viridian. Anyways, good luck and I will see you soon!" He took off before Shawn could say a word.
Shawn had waited years for this. He finally had his first Pokemon! He released Totodile from its pokeball. "Toootodile!" it bellowed. "Hey Totodile! I'm Shawn, your new trainer!" He got on his knees at patted Totodile on the head. "TOOOOTO!" He was ecstatic. "Alright, buddy! You ready to go have your first battle!?" Totodile gave an excited nod. Shawn returned Totodile to his Pokeball and headed to the outskirts of Pallet town. He knew weak Pokemon roamed these parts. He spotted a Caterpie. Shawn hastily threw Totodile's Pokeball. "Totodile, use tackle!" Shawn yelled. With only one hit, the wild Caterpie was knocked out before it knew what was going on. "Great job Totodile! You just won your first battle and leveled up to level 6!" Totodile, overjoyed buy his win, was about to howl, but instead of sound, a blast of water shot from his mouth into Shawn's face. Totodile looked very confused, but Shawn knew that Totodile had just learned Water Gun.
Shawn continued down the path. Viridian City wasn't too far away but Shawn knew he had to train with Totodile more. Suddenly, something grabbed his attention. A Phanpy was rubbing its small tusks against a tree. Phanpy was one of Shawn's favorite Pokemon! He had to catch it! He knew better than to just toss a pokeball at it. He released Totodile, who was obviously ready for battle number two! "Totodile, use Water Gun!" It was a direct hit. The Phanpy was knocked back into the tree. Totodile's attack was obviously super effective against the ground type, Phanpy. Shawn then reached into his bag, grabbed a pokeball, and tossed it at the injured Phanpy. To Shawn's surprise, a girl, obviously much older than him, jumped in front of the Phanpy and knocked the ball right out of the air. "Hey!" Shawn yelled furiously, "What are you doing!? I was trying to catch that!" She ignored him and walked over to the hurt Phanpy. She pulled out a pokeball, and the Phanpy was pulled into it. "Hey! I'm talking to you! Why did you catch that Phanpy when you knew I was trying to!?" She got to her feet and turned around. "I didn't. Phanpy is my Pokemon." she replied. She had a soft, upbeat voice. "Oh... Wow... I had no idea. I thought it was wild. I'm sorry about that." Shawn's tone of voice showed he was very embarrassed. "It's alright! I know it was an honest mistake!" she said with a laugh. "So you aren't mad?" "Of course not!" Shawn loosened up a bit. "So, who are you?" she asked. "My name's Shawn. I'm from Pallet Town." Totodile nudged Shawn's leg. "Oh of course! How could i forget! This is Totodile!" Totodile jumped up excitedly. "Hey, Totodile!" she said as she reached out to pet him. "He is very nice. You must be a great trainer!" Shawn started to become embarrassed again. "Um... Actually, i just got Totodile about an hour ago..." Shawn said with a hint of nervousness. "Oh, I see. Well, then that just proves my point! Your battle style is great and Totodile clearly adores you!" she said with a smile. "Thanks" he said with a nervous laugh. "So, you must be sixteen if this is your first Pokemon ever! Oh! Where are my manners!? My name is Sierra, I'm seventeen, and I'm from New Bark Town. I'd introduce Phanpy but you've already met him," she said with a wink.
She grabbed three pokeballs from her waist belt and let out the Pokemon that were inside. "This is Aipom, Sudowoodo, and Meganium!" All three made their own unique call as she returned them to their pokeballs. Shawn became envious of her. Sudowoodo was also one of his favorites. To avoid further embarrassment, he quickly diverted the conversation to her Meganium. "Wow! A Meganium!? What are you doing here!? These are all weak Pokemon! Shouldn't you be around strong Pokemon!?" Shawn asked with excitement. She let out a quiet giggle. "I'm training Aipom. Just caught him outside of New Bark a couple days ago," she replied, sharing in Shawn's enthusiasm. He started to become embarrassed once again, but then he realized something strange. "Really? How? I read that Aipom are native to south of Ecruteak City." "They are. You know, I caught wind of a possible herd of Stantler near Viridian City. Being from New Bark, I happen to know that they are native to the same area just south of Ecruteak as well. What are they doing near Viridian?" she replied, obviously happy with her argument. That never occurred to him. He was so upset by Oak's absence that he didn't even give thought to Oak's note. It said he was going to be researching the herd of Stantler that wandered into Viridian, which never occurred to Shawn that it made no sense. "Ya! Your'e right! That's how i got Totodile! Well, sort of. I was supposed to receive my first Pokemon from Professor Oak today, but he left a note saying he went to Viridian to research the herd of Stantler. Before I had time to be upset, there was a huge explosion on Cinnabar Island!"
Shawn proceeded to tell Sierra about the battle between the Legendary Birds, Lugia, Mew, and Mewtwo. "After Mew and Mewtwo took off, one of Oak's aids came out from the lab. He told me that lately, weird things have been happening regarding Pokemon. I pointed to the battle on Cinnabar and, in a panic, gave me Totodile and said to train it and meet him in Viridian City later. He took off before i could say anything. It never hit me that, not only were Stantler in the wrong place, but I received a Johto starter instead of a Kanto starter as well." Sierra seemed overwhelmed by this information. She just stared at Shawn with a blank look on her face. Finally, she formed a smile and spoke, "Well, lets get training then! You and Totodile have a long way to go. You couldn't even get to Cinnabar at your level as a trainer, much less take on six of the worlds strongest Pokemon! Lucky for you, if it's OK with you of course, I'm willing to stay with you on your journey and help you become a better trainer!"
Shawn stared at her, with the same blank look she had only moments earlier. Suddenly, his face lightened up. "Of course you can stay with us! Totodile and I would really appreciate the help and company!" Sierra gave a big smile, then released her Sudowoodo. "Then, lets get started!" she yelled. Shawn was about to have his first trainer battle.

Chapter Two: Train, Train, Train!

Shawn was quite surprised by this. He had no idea she meant right then. "Well, ok then! Go, Totodile!" Shawn yelled. Totodile was ready for battle. "Use Water Gun!" Totodile sent a gush of water towards Sudowoodo. The water pelted it in the chest. "Great job, Shawn! Always keep type advantages and disadvantages in mind! Water Gun was a great move to use on Sudowoodo, it being a rock type Pokemon!" Shawn felt quite proud of himself. His years of studying Pokemon had finally paid off. "Sudowoodo, use Defense Curl! Shawn, always remember that a battle isn't won just by attacks. You have to keep your Pokémon's stats in mind. If your Pokemon has a very low Attack, raise its Defense. It will be less affected by attacks." Shawn wanted to show off his knowledge. "Totodile, use Leer!" Totodile glared at Sudowoodo, intimidating it, lowering its Defense. "Great! I can see you know your basics! Now, Sudowoodo, use Slam!" Sudowoodo launched itself into Totodile. Totodile dodge the Attack. "Totodile, use Water Gun!" Totodile launched a blast of water at Sudowoodo, once again, pelting it right in the chest. Sudowoodo was becoming weak, surprising Sierra. Totodile, though only level 6, had a maxed-out Attack stat. "Sudowoodo, use Rock Throw!" Sudowoodo began throwing medium sized rocks at Totodile. This Totodile was weakened greatly. "This is where a Pokémon's Special Abilities come in. Totodile's Special Ability is Torrent. This means that when Totodile's health is low, his water moves will become stronger!" "Ok, well, in that case, Totodile, use Water Gun again!" Totodile launched another blast of water. This time, Sudowoodo was knocked back into a tree. Totodile's attack really was stronger now that he was weak! Sudowoodo tried to stand up, but could not, and fainted. "You did great, Sudowoodo!" Sierra returned it to its pokeball. Totodile rose 3 levels from this battle. He was now level 9 and learned Rage. "Totodile, you did amazing!" Shawn returned Totodile to his pokeball.
"Wow, Shawn, you're a natural! Let's head towards Viridian so we can take our Pokemon the the PokeCenter." "Good idea." After about 5 minutes of walking, they encountered a Hoppip. Totodile quickly defeated it, raising him to level 10. They continued to walk for a couple minutes and finally reached Viridian City. It was a small town. It had the usual PokeCenter and PokeMart. There were also two houses and a Gym. The Gym had been empty since Ash defeated the Leader Giovanni. Shawn remembered reading that Giovanni was the leader of a team of crooks called Team Rocket. After Ash defeated him, he disappeared and Team Rocket disbanded. "There's the PokeCenter! Let's go heal our Pokemon Shawn!" They ran inside and up to the counter.
Shawn had never been in a PokeCenter so he had no idea what to do. Lucky for him, he had Sierra. "Hi, Nurse Joy! We have 5 Pokemon we need healed please," Sierra said as she handed Nurse Joy the pokeballs. She took the 5 pokeballs and said with a smile, "We will take good care of them! Feel free to have a look around town!" Shawn was a little hesitant about leaving Totodile but Sierra reassured him Totodile would be fine. Shawn wanted to visit the local PokeMart first. Over in the Johto Region, Pokemon of legend have begun to fight. Entei, Raiku, Suicune, Ho-Oh, Celebi, and Deoxys have taken part in their own fight to the death. There is also word that in the Hoenn Region, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza are all fighting to the death as well. There is no time to waste Shawn! The safety of the entire world is at stake! Once you and Totodile are rested, head to the closed Gym. Professor Oak is watching the herd of Stantler near there. I will be headed to Pewter City soon. Once Totodile is stronger and you have talked to Oak, go there and we will talk more." Once again, the aid took off before he could say a word.
"Wow... Shawn, this is worse than I could have ever imagined... I hope my friends in Johto are safe..." Suddenly, her face lit up and she put on her usual smile. "Well, let's head to the PokeMart! I could sure use some Potions!" Shawn envied her. He wondered how, even in a situation as terrible as this, she still is able to keep her cheerful attitude and that big smile of her's.
After shopping at the PokeMart for a little while, they headed back to the PokeCenter. When they got there, there was someone at the counter. He looked like he was probably a couple years older than Shawn and Sierra. Nurse Joy handed him 3 pokeballs. He turned, walked towards Shawn and Sierra, looked at them, smiled, and left without saying a word. Shawn thought this was weird but Sierra didn't seemed to give it a second thought. She walked up to the counter and said, "Hello again, Nurse Joy! We are back for our Pokemon!" "Of course!" She handed her the 5 pokeballs and said with a smile, "We hope to see you again! Please, come back again any time!" Sierra handed Shawn Totodile's pokeball as they left the PokeCenter. "Well, it's time for you to meet Professor Oak. Oak and Professor Elm are old friends. I have read the Oak and Elm are alike in many ways. I'm sure you will like him!" Sierra gave him a smile and they headed for the gym.
"Wow, Shawn, you're a natural! Let's head towards Viridian so we can take our Pokemon the the PokeCenter." "Good idea." After about 5 minutes of walking, they encountered a Hoppip. Totodile quickly defeated it, raising him to level 10. They continued to walk for a couple minutes and finally reached Viridian City. It was a small town. It had the usual PokeCenter and PokeMart. There were also two houses and a Gym. The Gym had been empty since Ash defeated the Leader Giovanni. Shawn remembered reading that Giovanni was the leader of a team of crooks called Team Rocket. After Ash defeated him, he disappeared and Team Rocket disbanded. "There's the PokeCenter! Let's go heal our Pokemon Shawn!" They ran inside and up to the counter.
Shawn had never been in a PokeCenter so he had no idea what to do. Lucky for him, he had Sierra. "Hi, Nurse Joy! We have 5 Pokemon we need healed please," Sierra said as she handed Nurse Joy the pokeballs. She took the 5 pokeballs and said with a smile, "We will take good care of them! Feel free to have a look around town!" Shawn was a little hesitant about leaving Totodile but Sierra reassured him Totodile would be fine. Shawn wanted to visit the local PokeMart first. Chapter Three: Oak's Discovery

Sierra and Shawn headed for the gym. Shawn was excited to see Oak again, and he was sure Totodile would be just as excited. Sierra stopped. "Shawn, look! A Stantler! Oak must be near by!" They ran towards the Stantler. The Stantler watched them carefully. "I think we should be careful around wild Pokemon we come across. Remember Oak's aid said that wild Pokemon are becoming agitated and fighting each other. What if they were to become hostile towards humans as well?" Sierra pondered this for a moment. "Ya, you are probably right. Let's try to find Oak without startling any of the Stantler," she said with a hint of uncertainty.
They walked to the back of the building, keeping a watchful eye on the wild Stantler that were nearby. They reached the back of the building and Shawn noticed someone huddled over something. "Professor Oak?" The man jumped, clearly startled. "Wha..!? Is that..!? Shawn! How have you been!? My aid told me he gave you Totodile! How is the little rascal doing!?" "Aside from the world being in danger, I've been great! Totodile is level 10 now!" "Level 10 already!? That's great, Shawn!" "Well, it wasn't all me. I had some help. Oak, meet Sierra!" Oak seemed startled again, as if he had no idea she was there. "Hello, Professor. I have heard a lot about you from Shawn and Professor Elm! It's great to finally meet the famous Professor Oak!" "Elm!? How is he!? I haven't seen him in ages!" "He is doing fine. Although, it has been quite awhile since I saw him last. However, with all the Legendary Pokemon fighting, I don't know if he is still OK." "Ah, yes! That reminds me! Shawn, I have come across something that may be very useful on your journey!" Oak pulled a bright green gem out of his jacket pocket. "This is called the Gem of Peace. Just before I left Pallet to go to Viridian, this gem was in a box that was left outside of the lab. This note was left with it." Oak handed Shawn the note.
It read: Inside this box, there is a gem. It is called the Gem of Peace. It was created by Jirachi, wished for by the Legendary Pokemon themselves. It was created to keep Pokemon calm. Something drained most of its power, making it only effect Pokemon that are near it. I am leaving this in your possession in the hope that you are able to find out what has happened. Please do your best to find out what is happening.

Shawn stared at the gem, saying only, "Wow. The Gem of Peace? Iv'e never heard of it." "I have been researching this stone. I have also sent what i have found to my colleagues, Professor Elm and Professor Birch. They, too, are collecting all they can on this gem. Shawn, I believe this is best kept with you. It may not have much effect on the Legendary Pokemon, but it should make normal wild Pokemon less hostile. My colleagues and I are also trying to find out who this Izzy Sparks fellow is. So far, we haven't found anything. Here, take this. This is called PokeGear. It will store numbers of people you meet. Here is mine." Oak placed a card into the PokeGear. "If you find out anything about the Gem or Izzy Sparx, be sure to call me and let me know. I'm returning to Pallet Town now. Good luck on your journey." With a quick nod, Oak turned and walked away.
Sierra turned and looked at Shawn. "So, that's the famous Professor Oak? You and Professor Elm were right! He really is a neat guy!" Shawn smiled. "Alright, well now that we have talked to Oak, we should head for Pewter City. Are you ready to go, Sierra?" She gave a nod and a smile. "Let's go!" she said, seeming to be ready for anything. They turned and headed north to Pewter City.
"You know Shawn, I've been thinking about something. Maybe it would be a good idea to catch a couple Pokemon on the way to Pewter City. No matter how strong Totodile becomes, there is no way he will be able to take on the Legendary Pokemon alone. Also, While we are traveling, it may also be a good idea for you to challenge the Gyms we find along the way. Not only will they help your team get stronger, but the leaders might be able to give us useful information about the individual Legends." Shawn jumped at the chance to show off his knowledge once again. "Brock is in Pewter City! He traveled with Ash Ketchum for years! Misty, the Gym Leader of Cerulean City, also traveled with him! I've read that the three have had run-ins with all six of the Kanto Legendary Pokemon! Maybe they can help us! Let's try Brock in Pewter City first!"
They made their way to Pewter City. Shawn and Totodile battled several wild Pokemon on the way, most of them in Viridian Forest. By the time they reached the outskirts of Pewter City, Totodile had risen to level 15 and learned Bite, replacing Leer. Shawn knew that Totodile could evolve into Croconaw at level 18, but decide he would wait to evolve him until level 20, letting Totodile learn its signature move, Ice Fang. "Shawn, look over there! I can see a building!" It was the famous Pewter City Museum. Knowing how close they were, they began to run towards the city. Their first stop would of course be the PokeCenter.

Chapter Four: A Friendship and a Rivalry

Shawn and Sierra rushed to the Pokecenter. When the sliding doors opened, Shawn stopped. "Shawn? What's wrong?" Sierra asked, noticing he had stopped moving. At the counter stood a kid with an Aipom on his shoulder. The Aipom turned its head and locked eyes with Shawn. Without any warning, the Aipom jumped of off his shoulder, ran across the PokeCenter, and jumped up onto Shawn. "I knew it! It is you!" He looked up from the Aipom and yelled, "Hey, Deshawn!" The boy at the counter turned around. He gave a big grin and said, "Shawn! How've you been? Did you finally get your first Pokemon yet!?" Shawn jumped at the chance to brag, saying, "Yes! A Totodile! He is already level 15!" Deshawn smiled. "That's awesome Shawn! Way to go! Well, I'm going to look around town. When you're done here, come find me! We can meet at outside the PokeMart and finally have a battle!" He started to walk out of the PokeCenter but Sierra caught his eye. "Hey, names Deshawn," he said with a smile. "I'm Sierra," she replied. Shawn noticed she seemed almost annoyed "So, how do you know Shawn?" he asked. "He tried to catch my Phanpy," she said with a laugh. "He thought it was wild. I was in a clearing nearby that he couldn't see, I guess. He seemed like a nice guy so I decided to follow him." She turned and winked at Shawn. Deshawn quickly responded, "Sounds like something Shawn would do!" Shawn could see he was clearly being rude to impress Sierra. It seemed Sierra could tell too, seeming to get even more irritated. "Right. Anyways, how do you know him, Deshawn?" The question caught him off guard. "When I was fourteen, I moved to Pallet Town. Shawn and I have been neighbors and best friends ever since. It's been a year since I saw him last! He hadn't gotten his first pokemon yet when i decided to leave and become a Pokemon Master!" he gloated. Even more annoyed, Sierra said, "Ah, I see, and how is becoming a Master working for you?" This was an obvious attempt to embarrass Deshawn. "Well, I have caught at least fifty different types of Pokemon from here, Johto, and Hoenn, so I think I'm doing quite well," he said, trying hard not to look bad. Realizing this wasn't working, he quickly said, "Anyways, I'm going to go look around. When you are ready to battle, go to the PokeMart. Bye!" He walked out of the PokeCenter in a hurry. Sierra turned to Shawn. "What a jerk," she said, very annoyed.
They walked up to the counter and were greeted by Nurse Joy with the usual pleasant, "Hello, how can we help you?" This time, Shawn decided to talk to her. "Hello! We have five pokemon we need healed please," Shawn said with a smile. He handed her the pokeballs and she took them with a smile. "Feel free to have a seat over by the table while you wait. You may also want to use the PC's communicator to contact Professor Oak in his lab." Without a moment to spare, Shawn ran over to the PC and used the communicator.
*Ding Ding Ding* *Ding Ding-* *click* "Um... Hello? Who is this!?" "Hey, Oak! It's me, Shawn! I'm using the communications system on the PC in Pewter City!" Suddenly, the screen turned on, showing the back of Professor Oak. "Oh, hello Shawn!" "Um... Oak... Turn around..." "Oh my! How embarrassing! I always forget about this blasted screen! Anyways, how is Totodile doing?" Great! He is level 15 now!" "Oh, that's great, Shawn! Have you caught any new Pokemon?" Shawn fell silent. He just realized he hadn't caught a single Pokemon since he left Pallet Town. He was about to speak when Sierra nudged him out of the way, "Hey, Professor! It's Sierra!" "Ah, yes! Shawn's friend! How are you two doing? Has he caught any new Pokemon?" Shawn's head dropped. "Yes! Only one, but a strong one!" Shawn looked up in confusion. "Oh, really? What kind is it!?" Oak asked with excitement. "On our way to Pewter City, we came across a Phanpy! It was battling a Snorlax! It KOd the Snorlax with one Roll Out attack! Shawn sent out Totodile and they battled for quite some time! Phanpy was strong but Totodile had the type advantage and was finally able to weaken Phanpy enough for Shawn to catch it!" "A Snorlax!? With a Roll Out!? That's amazing! Shawn, I always knew you would be a great trainer! Good for- AAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!! Not again! Shawn, I will talk to you later! The Pokemon at the lab are going crazy! Sierra took three of them. "Sierra, you forgot one." "No I didn't," she said with a huge grin. "That's YOUR Phanpy now, Shawn." "Wha... I couldn't take Phanpy from you!" "I talked to him already. I told him and he was very pleased with the idea. Phanpy is yours Shawn." Shawn just stared at the pokeball. "Shawn, are you alright?" Suddenly, Shawn jumped up in the air with a giant grin. He had one of his favorite Pokemon ever. All thanks to his friend Sierra.

Unfortunately his dad was killed 4 years later due to an Aerodactyle attack. He was helping revive it from a fossil.
Now, 7 years later, he collects Pokemon cards and action figures, which his room is totally filled with.
Becoming 16 years old he decided that he wanted to become the best Pokemon trainer and follow the footsteps of his dad.
He dreams to be a gym leader, but never had the confidence to push himself that far,
even though, he is still way too young for that.
At the lab when he was allowed to choose his first Pokemon, he wanted to choose a Electrike, which Professor Oak had caught the other day.
But, the Electrike was already taken so he had to choose a different Pokemon.
Lucky for him, Oak had just caught a Shinx a few hours ago so he choose her. But something was different about this Shinx.

Becoming 16 years old he decided that he wanted to become the best Pokemon trainer and follow the footsteps of his dad.
He dreams to be a gym leader, but never had the confidence to push himself that far,
even though, he is still way too young for that.
At the lab when he was allowed to choose his first Pokemon, he wanted to choose a Electrike, which Professor Oak had caught the other day.
But, the Electrike was already taken so he had to choose a different Pokemon.
Lucky for him, Oak had just caught a Shinx a few hours ago so he choose her. But something was different about this Shinx.
This Shinx, is very special~
Shinx mother was a Luxray, and her father was a Glaceon. Thus so, she has moves no other Shinx has.

Past: Ragnar is the son of Giovanni, the leader of the now disbanded Team Rocket. As a child, Ragnar strove to be like Giovanni, but always was stuck in the shadows of his father. After Ash defeated Giovanni, officially breaking up Team Rocket, Giovanni disappeared. Ragnar, now 20, decided to follow in his fathers footsteps. With the help of some Team Rocket veterans, Ragnar created Team Debris. Team Debris has the same goals as Team Rocket, except for one: Destroy Ash

Personality: Very similar to Ragnar.

history: was born in the Hoenn Region but move to the Johto Region when he was 5,and moved back at 9. At age 14 he moved to Kanto, living in Pallet Town, right next door to Shawn. They are good friends, but a rivalry developed between them over Shawn's jealousy of Deshawn receiving a Pokemon before he was 16. He received his first Pokemon, Pidgey, from Professor Birch before moving to Kanto. Birch said the Pidgey is special, being created from Ho-oh. Being created under this circumstance gave it the ability to learn the signature move Sacred Fire, though Deshawn has yet believe this.

Characteristics: Always in a good mood and likes to cheer people up. Doesn't like losing but will still carry on and never hold grudges. Energetic and likes sports. Very Academic and LOVES Pokemon.
Goals: To catch Lugia and to become a Pokemon Master.
