So I made a domain that is .co.cc they are free, but it shows that it will expire in 2011-05-03. They said if your domain is non-commercial use, it is free to renew. How do I know my domain is non-commercial? or this whole thing is wrong? I need someone to explain to me......

"Commercial Use" of pretty much anything means you are making money off of it. If you are making profits of this website, it means you are using it for commercial use. If it's just something ordinary and you ain't selling anything, it's not commercial use. Donations don't count as commercial use, so don't worry if you got a sexy Paypal donate button ;)...I think.

It's probably a matter of honesty or they check out your website when you request renewal to see if you are selling anything.

so you have to inform them when your domain is going to expire?

No, they have their sexy databases and men in suits to watch over the websites. I'm pretty sure that's what most domain givers do. >_>

Honestly, I don't recommend using CO.CC domain extension although it's free.
I suggest go for another domain registrar like GoDaddy. INFO domains are just $1.19.

Commercial means that you are making money from it. :)

So no, you shouldn't be charged if you're running a Pokemon site or something.
