Combined Pokemon Solo Challenge Thread

Took the Cable Car up to Mt. Chimney. It's easy going through the area. I kinda wonder why everyone has Poochyena though, even Archie. Universal Bad Guy Pokemon apparently. One of the Team Aqua says Team Magma is a weird name, which I thought was kinda funny.

Maxie goes down pretty easy, and just walks away afterwards. On my way to Lavaridge I encounter the awesome cookie lady. I take a bit and buy 30 of these things. They're cheaper than Full Heals and also yummier. In Lavaridge I also get an egg from the hot springs lady.

After taking a minute to navigate through the gym I encounter Flannery. The only thing to give me trouble is her Torkoal. It kills me in my first attempt, since I didn't use any thunder attacks on it thinking it was rock. My second attempt I try Thunderbolt and it goes down in one hit. 4/8 badges obtained.

Upon leaving Brendan gives me the Go-Goggles. A lot of trainers in the desert use Sandshrew apparently. Nothing really interesting happens otherwise besides me getting the Claw Fossil. From here I headed down to Slateport to take the boat to Petalburg. Time to take on Gym number 5. After making sure to make my way through all the rooms I take on Dad. All of his Pokemon are OHKO'd. Badge 5/8 obtained.

After beating him I get Surf. Yay! Taught this to Derp Duck. At this point I decide to go exploring. In New Bark I get the Amulet Coin for Tron. He's never taking this off. In Mauville I get the Basement key from Wattson. On my way to New Mauville I see the greatest sign ever. Nothing interesting happens in New Mauville otherwise. I get Thunderbolt from Wattson. Too bad Tron already knows this.

A few steps from Fallarbor the egg finally hatches. Smiley the Wynaut is shoved into the box in Fallarbor. Upon arriving back in Petalburg I Surf south towards Dewford. Healing up here I head east towards Slateport. I'm almost out of PP when I arrive, even after going through the Abandoned Ship.

Having done a complete circle I head east from Mauville to the new area of the map. Making my way across the small gap I head north towards Fortree. On my way up I catch Peant Butr and Jelly, both Tropius. Since I can't go further I rest up in the Weather Institute. Here I deposit Jasper and NomNom and take out Peant Butr. I teach her Rock Smash, Strength, and Cut while Derp Duck gets Flash. Upon defeating the Aqua Admin I also stick Bobble Head the Castform into the box before leaving.

Outside I fight Brendan again. He gives me Fly upon defeat, which gets taught to Peant Butr. Since I can't take on the Fortree Gym yet I bypass the city and just keep heading east. I get the Devon Scope from Steven and deposit my HM slaves before taking Gym. The whole gym is hilariously easy as I go through it. The only thing to even survive is Altaria. Who somehow had 1 HP left after my Thunderbolt. She survived 2 of them before falling to a 3rd. 6/8 badges obtained.

- Caught a Lv. 3 Krabby and named it Kijima.
- Grinded to about Lv. 10.

- Continued to Cerulean and beat Misty.

Well that's it for Emerald I beat everyone including Steven, This was one of the most satisfying rounds I've done I used no Revives and I wish I had this one cartridge but oh well, On to Sinnoh :D. Question: If I do videos for Sinnoh should I just do the Leader fight or the whole gym like I did for Emerald?

Sure. I signed up way back in March last year. I'm doing an ultimate solo run with Golduck and I'm currently playing through Heart Gold. I already finished Fire Red and luckily I still have the final screenshot.

Anyways, here's my first update, I have gotten the Silph Scope and beat Erika.

Decided to head south of Mt. Pyre first to explore more of the area. After taking on all the trainers here I headed back to Fortree. After healing Mt. Pyre is up next. Nothing very interesting happens and I obtain the Magma Emblem.

After all that I head to Lillycove finally. I take on Brendan here again, and he's just as easy as he's always been. I stock up on 50 Max Potions and 50 Max Repels before heading to Mt. Chimney. In all honestly it took me quite a while to figure out to go here. In the process of figuring out where to go Tron wins a Cool Rank contest.

In the Team Magma base I take on lots of grunts and fight Maxie. Groudon is now awake and I head back to Lillycove. The same thing happens here as with the Team Magma base, with the exeption of me finding the Master Ball. Upon leaving I can now explore the vast oceans of Hoenn.

After an hour of exploring I head to Mossdeep and shove my HM slaves into the box. Dumb move as I head to take on the gym. I like the layout of this place really and it doesn't take me long to find the gym leaders. I need two Pokemon though so I grab Smiley the Wynaut from the box and head back to battle.

This battle took me 3 tries. The first one Tron actually dies, oops. The second attempt has Wynaut gaining levels and I'm not having that so I reset. The third attempt Wynaut dies in the first hit, and then I focus on taking out the team. I forgot I can hit Lunatone and Solrock with Thunderbolt, so I do that, the rest of the match is easy with Claydol being the last thing I take down. Badge 7/8 obtained.

Before taking on the Space Center I take a minute to catch Bruce the Sharpedo. I have Peant Butr forget Strength and teach him Flash while Bruce gets Surf and Strength. Derp Duck is retired to the box. The Space Station is easy, with me only taking Tron into battle with Steven. Since I don't control his Pokemon in battle I figured it was alright to leave them on the field. Also, jettisoning rocket fuel into a volcano seems like an incredibly dumb idea.

After all that I get Dive from Steven and teach it to Bruce. Flying back to Lillycove I stock up on Max Repels and decide to go underwater exploring and make my way to Pacifidlodge.

Sorry I don't quite understand the question, if you mean can you trade over to Diamond to teach it Payback I'm going to have to say no on that one as Payback can be found pretty early in the game, Route 215 which is right before you get to Veilstone City.

I need a dark move to teach to him since all the trainers on the second route have normal pokemon. Pay Back seemed like the weakest dark move. If there's a weaker move or a move that you would perfer I can change my choice, I chose Payback since it's a Tm I have in my Platinum and it was only 10 points damage. I already traded Boojangles in from Platinum for the starter I chose but in hindsight I should have check his moves before I traded him in.

Would Return work better?
