    yeah i used to pretend to like certain things or be a certain way because i was uncomfortable as myself and felt like i had to pretend to be accepted. the result was i was just more unhappy because i was lying to myself about who i really was. plus i wasted time on people who i wanted to accept me so i could feel secure instead of finding people who actually have the same interests as me
