Its confirmed, on Sunday March 14th select Gamestop stores will open early for HGSS. So the question is, will this affect the time you go and buy the games?

I originally thought they would open at 9:00 AM anyway, when I saw the opening early text on their website I assumed they would open at 8:00 as they did for Platinum~ :(

MODS: Sorry if this should have been a regular post instead of a thread~

i just reserved it at gamestop in pomona and im gona be waiting outside for it just like when i got pearl n platinum :D

I reserved it back in January, so I don't have to worry about it selling out before I get mine due to the opening time. This will probably benefit me, because if their is a line at all(Not many people go to the GameStop I reserved it at) the line might clear up before I get their. I can't get their early myself because my mom probably doesn't want to drive their early.

The GameStop I preordered at is in the mall near me, so I don't think they'll be opening up early. Just opening up like they usually do since it's in the mall and the mall doesn't open early usually.

My Gamestop usually opens up at 11 on Sundays but I called yesterday and they said that they will be opening up at 9. I was a bit dissapointed because I remember that for D/P, they opened at 7... Oh well, =/

YES! I was hoping for this because the Gamestop where I live opens at noon on Sundays, and that is kinda late for me. Thanks for posting this!

I don't have to worry about picking it up at midnight because I'm off from work on March 14, but if my local GameStop is doing a midnight launch, I'll just go anyway.

The GameStop I reserved it at is in the mall, and so they won't open till the mall does. Anyways, I reserved a copy so I don't have anything to worry about.

The only thing I'm worried about though is NOT getting my figurine cause I had to re-preorder SS 2 days ago b/c my bank wouldn't allow the transaction for the mail delivery to go through..hopefully GameStop doesn't run out of figurines.

Just remembered...the mall I'm going to doesn't open till noon on sundays!

My friend wants to come over to my house and pick up the game with me, but he doesn't want to come too early. >_> Soooo~ I think I'll have to wait a bit longer. :C

No, I'll still be picking up my copy at the same time that i've planned to.

either way it'll be hard to find away to get there. This puts me at a disadvantage. I wasn't able to preorder it and i already have to worry about it selling out before i get there which will be somewhere around noon probably. I have to get it sunday cause thats the last day of the big trade bonus, which would save me a lot of money

Oh and how much are they going to be retaling for? I wonder how much! I think they'll be pretty expensive since they are the latest pokemon game out.

I've never bought a Pokemon game at Gamestop, but it's interesting to note that they're opening early. Maybe I'll try going there (or getting someone to go there for me, as it's highly unlikely I'll be awake that early, especially considering that DST starts Saturday-->Sunday, so I'll lose an hour). Do you know how many non-preordered copies Gamestop normally keeps around compared with other stores? I can normally find new games on release day at Best Buy without a problem, but if Gamestop is easier to get to and has plenty of copies, I could try going there.

I just pre-ordered mine from the local GameStop. haha. Yeah, I'm almost fashionably late, reserving a copy 2 days before the release. I'm awesome.

being a 20 yr. old who loves pokemon is hard enough. i might end up getting it the next day. and bring extra money to buy a cute little stylus with a pikachu on top. and might as well wear my gommba hat like a true nerd.

$40 really? platinum was $30 and i've heard people say that the pokewalker won't effect the price. Maybe its $40 to preorder it, but i think the price might actually go down for regular purchases.
