Maybe you take a plane to other parts of them region rather than a new region. Maybe some parts are inaccessible due to unscaleable mountains, or the seas are simply too long to cross. Maybe the entire region is split up into large segments of land, with a few cites per segment. I'd quite enjoy this. HG/SS lost it's momentum. I didn't enjoy two regions because you weren't training up new pokemon. It was just grinding for Red. I love training up new Pokemon, watching them evolve. I hope this new region shows us some fantastical technology. Like ipods, proper cellphones. The pokegear was irritating. Stupid people telling me they just failed to catch a sentret. Woop de doo. Hopefully new technology playing mini-games of the touch screen on the back of the chair in the plane. Would that not be cool?
 
i think hoenn will be the best option..we've seen remakes of all the other regions..[of course you wanna see them in D/P B/W graphics]..hoenn still is the best..we've never seen hoenn in D/P graphics..
