    Wows :o I got joint 3rd! I'm really surprised...there were so many fantastic entries I really didn't think I stood any chance of being placed...I'm really quite surprised.....erm TY :) well done Zapchu, orange and Iveechan, well deserved. I think this has been one of the best contests in a long time, so well done everyone for making an impressive effort.

    After getting over shock, I feel happy and honoured to have won, but I also congratulate the other great pieces who did not win a place, Sandra's Chargon, Forest Grovyle, and Jedi_Amara in particular. You all did great. Congrats, Orenji, Ignitica, and Zapchu ^_^

    These contest actually help you get better... When you think about it u draw whatever you want whenever you wnat but, now you draw on topic in your own style. Kinda Follow me?
     
    No not really. I seem to be better off doing my usual whatever springs to mind things. Come on my to do list drawing wise is bloody massive x.x Why? Well a lot I'm holding out for something.

    Tomorrow I'll be drawing up a christmas present, that Lincolnshire Red anthro for my Great Grandma I didn't get on with (Tad late but yeah) Also I despise this time of year, I'm a tad motre ratty and less able because of it.
     
    No, if you know me even remotely I can never EVER consider anything cute related anything. Sides mine was pitiful and a real excuse to waste time then again the entry I did for this one was as well. Go figure.

    If this was true then you wouldn't be so bothered about not winning anything. Come on SC, the plushie contest wasn't cute based it was plushie. You did a nice pic and deserved your placing. Not every pic that is entered is made just for the contest. mine for example was the image I used on my xmas cards this year!
     
    Yeah and? And all I said was well pointed out the fact again I didn't get a placing, there is nothing saying you're not allowed to do that is there? And plushie is cute based pure and simple. Only twice did I do a picture for the contest and not something else and that was it, the plush and this crap one and that was it.

    Of course there isn't anything saying you can't. Though I don't consider all plushies to be cute. I have this awesome dragon plushie...it isn't exactly cute :p. I just don't understand why you insist on putting your pictures down when there so undeserving. Yes not everyone believes their pictures are the best, but its unfair on your artwork to insist it's so 'low'. It's proven that your work is 'worthy' of any praise as you actually got a placing in a contest. Not only was it a contest, but it was on a subject you dislike, which proves it more so.
     
    I put it down because it's the only way to make anything get any better as I have said before, if I don't I'll start getting worse. I might as well not have got a placing as there was better stuff in there but that's happened a couple of times me getting a placing when I didn't deserve it. Contests shouldn't prove worth of pictures, more than anything they're ego boosters for winning. I have my pride but I keep it well away from art related things, they just do not mix in anyway wha so ever. Sides there's plently of other things that attack it so i'm not missing out.

    Most of that is a really balanced thing to say, and it's lovely to actually have you talk about your pride :) I understand that its you way in aiding yourself in getting better, but your already at a massively successful level which deserves gratitude. Everyone has room to improve, I myself have so much I can do to improve, and new levels I keep striving to meet. I don't see winning a contest as an ego boost, it makes you happy, but my want to draw because of what i thought of my stuff never changed. It just made me want to get better even more to prove myself worthy of such a prize. But if someone has chosen your picture over others, it does prove your picture is worthy of some praise if it was chosen above everyone elses wonderful art. I feel it aid you to think, 'right i did something right, i'll try and work on this kinda thing to see if i'm going the right way'.

    I realises everyone has their own perception, but is it truly worth swearing (cr*p is considered this by some, therefore against forum rules, it would be awful to be throw out of a place u love to visit just because of language like this.) Anyways I think you can never get worse, you can only ever inprove. All your art is more worthy of any praise i can give. Maybe it would be nice to take a little pride sometimes, and not actually put it down, or throw it aside as if it's worthless when it clearly means alot to you.
     
    eheh Unfortantly and as much as I hate to say it I'm like Vegeta in the pride respect, I predent anything art wise so nothing to stamp there but anyway.

    I can only assume it does, well I've never had one but if you watch Joe in chat it makes you assume what different things can do to an ego x.x But you would assume it and constant 1st placers becomming a tad arrogant in their abilites (I've seen it happen). For me I just shrug it off and continue as I was anyway, I don't go on what others think of what I do just what I think. If loads of people really like something and I don't, my view wings and I'll either sort it or give up and go another way, just what I do.

    I have actully proven on more than one occasion you can get worse and it can take one heck of a kick to sort it again. It was the exact same subject as well and it was going worse, took 3 months to sort it out again and it was not fun believe me ._.
