Corocoro before E3?

    Hi!

Do you think Corocoro will leak before the E3? And do you think it will have the exact same news as what we're going to get at E3, or will we have a couple different news?

I expect CoroCoro to be leaked during/after E3 and it'll just expand upon what information we get.

I was thinking maybe it would leak a couple days before the E3? Because it has sometimes leaked around the 10/12, and the E3 starts on the 14.

I have a strong feeling that CoroCoro won't give us much (if any) new information. It will most likely cover what was revealed at the beginning of the month since CoroCoro hasn't been much of a news source lately. CoroCoro usually leaks around the 10th of the month which would be before E3, but as I've said I wouldn't expect all that much. D:

As Blue said, don't get your hopes up for new info in CoroCoro since it'll most likely only cover what was revealed at E3, but that's my guess. Speaking of CoroCoro, it's hard to believe that it's been promising Sun & Moon content yet so far we haven't got any such info shown in the magazine.

We'll probably get E3 news before any CoroCoro leaks...kinda odd that we haven't gotten any, to my knowledge. oO Guess this generation is kind of the exception, isn't it.

It's interesting how 7th Gen seems to be the first generation where CoroCoro is actually taking a back seat and sharing barely any info on the games, if not at all, and is instead letting other sources reveal the news like the trailers being shared via YouTube.

I think it's because at this point, trailers would show a lot more useful information than screenshots from CoroCoro. Of course, that's just my view on it. /shrugs

While CoroCoro would reveal some useful information in the past, it appears print media is on the decline and Game Freak decided to pick up on this by deciding to reveal news on social media sites instead since it would attract more people than a Japanese magazine that had put Pokemon on the backburner in favour of a certain "Pokemon-like show" that's hugely popular and has now dethroned Pokemon as the new top franchise featured on the cover pics.

Revealing news on Pokemon games via trailers seems to be the future for Pokemon, especially if CoroCoro seems to put more attention to other franchises at this stage.

Trailers appeal to a wider audience and thus attracts more attention. With more platforms that are constantly increasing in popularity, it makes sense for them to jump ship and take advance to increase the awareness of the games. Of course trailers are waaaay better than screenshots, I much prefer how they've dealt with the news distribution so far. (:

I think E3 will premiere the same content Corocoro is going to come out with. Because Corocoro usually releases on the 15th and E3 starts the 14th, so if Pokémon/Nintendo does release stuff about SM, it'll be the same on what Corocoro released (like Corocoro is just a wrap-up of what content was shown at E3 for Gen 7).
But in hopes of what content they may release, considering its E3 and if we do get playable gameplay there, it may be just battle mechanics or more interact-able features of the Rotom Pokédex OR features such as Trainer Customization or stuff like Pokémon Amie and Super Training

It makes me wonder if the time of waiting for corocoro to drop juicy new information might be over. If it's just going to be rehashing whatever gets announced officially.

That said I thought somebody said CoroCoro had something exclusive to show off?

I don't recall CoroCoro teasing "exclusive" content and that's because all the trolling they've done lately has thrown me off. But like you said, it seems like CoroCoro dropping Pokemon news may be a thing of the past especially with how successful the trailers and social media promotion has been so far.

They've been saying that for the last two months, I'm starting to think that they're doing that to make sales..

The thing is, if you keep trolling people you'll lose trust and that won't increase sales.

I'm thinking they are still finishing storyline for the anime, so info on that and game are at standstill. I think Corocoro might reveal something for the anime, but not the games. E3 was speculated to not have a lot on SM either. I think it is still early.

That's what Serebii translated for the July issue (the one coming out this month) tease in the previous issue (May release). At least one can justify the tease in May's issue (April release) as it was vague about the source, which alerted some of us that it might come prior to Corocoro, as they usually say they're the source.

Corocoro is promising an exclusive scoop this month. It said nothing about news the first moth of Sun and Moon, and I don't think it promised anything major on the games last month either, it was just over hyped. That said, it will definitely leak before E3. I'd be willing to guess that tonight or tomorrow night will have it leak, with some new news.

E3 will have new content, separate from the magazine.(pretty sure this happened with E3 for XY as well) And Pokemon is beating corocoro to the punch because it's a worldwide release, thus the info should be available world wide and more hyped up. Especially since they seem to be showing less on Sun and Moon to avoid everything leaking.

I can get this, it appears the reason why the trailers are getting revealed before the CoroCoro even comes out is due to the worldwide release approach that Pokemon wants to do with revealing information. Wouldn't be surprising if CoroCoro is focusing more on the anime since I recall it's getting close to the month that news on the next generation saga of the anime would be revealed.

Yeah, the SM saga should be beginning around November as they like the anime's new saga to promote the games and vice-versa. So they got 5 months.

E3 will probably show what's in Corocoro and add to it. I see Corocoro leaking in the next three days.

No Corocoro did promise a huge scoop on Sun and Moon according to Serebii for last month and again this month. However we haven't gotten anything.

Corocoro did give use a trailer last month, but Game Freak is staying ahead of Corocoro. We did get new screenshots and what not from the trailer Corocoro showed us though. And we got one new pokemon, but it hasn't been fully reveled. This would have been considered a huge scoop if Game Freak hadn't beat them to the punch.

I am expecting Corocoro to have a few pokemon, other wise, it will be the latest we have ever gotten new pokemon revealed, non starter/legendary wise. Especially if they don't show any new pokemon at E3, which I think they will.

I am expecting Corocoro to leak tonight, tomorrow, Sunday or Monday. As those are the dates in which they are usually leaked.

    Serebii in April:
    Spoiler:

    We got a trailer.

    Serebii in May:
