Could Gen 10 be the last Generation?

I can't see it ending anytime soon, maybe if the story lines get weaker due to lack of ideas sales may drop but not much as most fans will still get the games regardless and game freak know that, I think there will be a time when they will start downsizing the amount of pokemon available or create less new ones and use the ones with great designs that tend to liked more by fans and leave the filler pokemon that most don't use for after game collection
 
I genuinely believe Pokemon as a franchise could live on for the next 20-30 years.

They don't need to add new pokemon to every new gen game either. They could keep adding until say gen 10 then after that just make new regions etc and that would still sell.

Not to mention the side series games have a whole life of their own. The Mystery Dungeon series can be continued for years to come as could afew of their other games, being remade and retold on newer consoles.
 
I can't see it ending any time soon. It's such a huge and profitable franchise I see no reason to end it. But I also think it's one of those rare series that's completely timeless, I believe it'll always have a large following. Still, they could slow it down with all of the new Pokemon, I'd be completely fine with new games with older Mons. 1000 is getting to the point where it's almost too much...
