To have the ultimate RPG of pokemon with all four regions, Team Rocket/Magma/Aqua/Galactic, and all legendaries?

Probably, with even better stuff to do, but would probably have to be on the wii.

Well it could be possible. But it is highly unlikely for one reason, Profit.

Nintendo/Gamefreak wouldn't put all of the legendaries in one game. Instead, they want you to purchase other games so they get more money rather than putting them all in one game so they don't make as much money. For example, if you want all of the legendaries, you would need to purchase FireRed/ LeafGreen (Approx. $20), Ruby/Sapphire (Approx. $20), and Diamond/Pearl (Approx. $40).

So it would cost around $80 dollars for all of the legendaries you requested. Which is where they get their profit by requiring you to purchase all of those games over one.

Personally, I would prefer seperate games over one. If I restarted, I would have to go against Rocket and Aqua and Magma and Galactic rather than just having to take down one of them and still enjoy it.

Well, I think one day there will be a version with all four regions and Pokemon, including every legendary, but there would have to be a few changes to the regions, like a few new gym leaders and buildings, but there is no way that all the teams could be in one game.

There goals would clash and they would be aiming for each other as Magma and Aqua did, and they would cancel each other out.

Unless the winning team would be the team you are up against in the end.

I've heard rumors that Johto might be in Platinum. Hopefully it will be, I've wanted a Johto remake for a while now.

They'll definetly do it for the last pokemon game, but I hope nintendo does atleast one pokemon game with all 4 regions soon.

I never heard about Johto in platinum, but I dont think its gonna happen.

    I've heard about it too.
I saw some art for Platinum & it looks like a large train.Hopefully we can return to Johto >.<

Uhh... Johto is not going to be in Platinum. It's common sense. ;x

To put together all four regions with all of their information into one GBA / DS Game is impossible. Such a small device can't store that much data into itself. Unless they invent a Gaming System with a gigantuous game cartridge, it will never be done.

Hmm... I'm almost certain this will never occur.
Perhaps there will be a knock-off game where you can travel to important cities of different regions, however; I don't believe there will ever be a mainstream RPG that allows one to access every region. As it has already been pointed out, Nintendo and Gamefreak wouldn't consider this to be a wise market decision, plus it really wouldn't be possible unless it was on the Wii or possibly a future home console.

As for Johto in Platinum, I'm pretty sure the chances of that are null as well. :/
I'm with you on that; I would love to see a return of Johto, however; I just don't see it happening. The only thing that I can explain the "Johto" data being in Diamond and Pearl would be from a future knock-off game.
(They sure do like making those lately...)

I don't think it'll ever happen. Nintendo would make a lot more money by making new generation games and remakes then throwing everything together. And besides, if you were traveling throughout all of the lands, you would probably have level one hundred Pokemon when you were finished Kanto, assuming that that would be the region you start off in, of course. As for the plot; would Team Rocket, Aqua, Magma and Galactic be working together or would they take a region each? The legendaries, why would Nintendo let them all roam over one game instead of taking advantage of the market by making numerous games with one or two legendaries per game?

Sure, it could be done and if it was to be done, it'd be on the Wii, not the DS, but it won't be done because Nintendo can make a bigger profit without it.

Wait a little, I'm sure until the end of 2009 there will be a G/S remake.

Game freak hasnt said anything, at the moment there is 0 evidence to say they have any plan in motion. The hordes of jhoto remarks show they were probably thinking of it, but nothing has been announced yet.

It is possible. Just not very profitable.
Game Freak obviously prefers to sell a game in Kanto for $39,99, one in Johto for another $39,99, then one more in Hoenn for $39,99 and a new Sinnoh one for $39,99 aswell, rather than selling one with all of them for less profit.

Actually no. The hex data for the Pokémon in Diamond and Pearl include a "Johto" location.
What do you think that could possibly mean?

I don't want to go into a Gold, Silver & Crystal remake discussion but I'm going to anyways because I can. Right now, Pokemon is still a multi-million dollar business, right? My theory is that Nintendo/Gamefreak are saving a remake of the second generation games for when Pokemon hits rock bottom in terms of popularity and profit. That's what I'd do, anyways.

That was included in the "hordes of jhoto references" I mentioned earlier. Either it's there for continuity (So that every location was in some way represented), for a future event or for a future game. My point was that game freak has mentioned nothing about a GSC remake, it has just given us ammunition to make that assumption ourselves.

Ok, let me do the possibilities

1: If they do make it, it'll cost MORE than the regular 49$ and will take a HELL-LOAD of time to complete.

2: It is only possible to keep a moderate price by making it a MMORPG, Which is nearly impossible with their current profits, current technology, and interwebz traffic.

3: Drop the Jotho remake subject. It will happen. Now yap it. Just not in Platinum.
