[Spoilers] Could Oshawott,Tepig,and Snivy stay with Ash past the Best Wishes

So do you think Oshawott,Tepig,and Snivy will stay with Ash after the Unova series is over with.I do believe the Unova team will stay for the 6 gen.

Why would they? There will be a whole new gen which means whole new pokemon.

I can't tell really...After seeing the brand new trends of Unova, I started having my doubts of Pokemon following its old path.

However, I will stick with the fact that a new Generation comes and all his old Pokemons are just left behind.

So Currently, I will stay with what I stated, but I gotta say, Unova is one of a kind, Pokemon isn't repeating itself exactly the same way, so who knows....maybe they will somehow keep them for some reasons......If Unova kept the same trends as Previous Generation, then my answer would be a Solid NO.

Nope. As far as I can see, Ash will probably just start again with Pikachu. As hes been doing since after Johto.

I would probably like Ash to maybe swap Pikachu with a different Pokémon from his Unova team. Or at least do what he did in Sinnoh, and bring a second Pokémon along anyway. Though I wouldn't rule it to just Oshawott, Tepig and Snivy, those would be most boring anyway. You've also got to take into consideration that they could evolve (I'm ruling out Snivy, but thats another theory), then they would probably be too strong to take along with him, you could mention Charizard. But then if you noticed, one of the main contributing factors it was taken out of Ash's team was because it was way too strong. All of the leaders after Falkner were par' to their game teams or at least very close. They wouldn't make that mistake again.

I wouldn't rule any of his Unova Pokémon out of his next journey just yet though - like many have speculated, there could be some sort of filler series in west Unova like the Battle Frontier.

Well who knows he could start over with just Pikachu again next region generation,are he could still take his Unova pokemon team with him. There is no way to tell what will happen after Unova series is over and it is unown how many pokemon will evolve on his Unova team.

I don't think of it as being a mistake,since they could always have Ash take his Unova team with him to the next 6 Gen region.

Since this thread is labeled with spoilers, I'd like to point out that this season has featured a lot of unprecedented events: Team Rocket being competent, Meowth joining the Twerps, Ash rotating his team, etc. It could happen that the next season might be unprecedented as well. That could mean that Ash brings his entire team, or it could mean something as crazy as Ash putting Pikachu in storage for the first time ever. I doubt it could happen, but I've been surprised plenty already by this season so far. I'll go with "Maybe."

I really can't rule out anything with the way Unova Saga has been going. I just can't see the pokemon he had stay too long in 6th Gen Saga for advertising purposes of course. It would be nice if he did like with Aipom and took one other one over. Which I wouldn't mind seeing Roggenrola(if he gets to Gigalith, just cause I love Gigalith) or Scraggy(assuming Scrafty by that time). Taking the starters seems way too generic but if I had to choose one out of the three it would be Oshawott.

It's way too early to tell that Ash will keep the Unova starters with him, considering that he's around halfway through his journey. But then again, Ash only has Pikachu with him when he goes to a new region, but I think that Oshawott might secretly follow Ash and join him, like Aipom did in DP.

It is too early to tell wether Ash will keep his Unova team with him or not for the next 6 gen region.I highly doubt that Oshawott would be the only one he would take with him since he does have Tepig and Snivy,he would take all three of the Unova starters.

Back on topic, I have doubts to bring back specifically one of the three. But then again, it the series is becoming more dynamic and a tad unpredictable, so its still a slight possibility. Like PlatinumDude said, it could just end up like Aipom.

I have a feeling Juniper Lab since we say Tranquill there before. Either way like I said before whatever scenario that plays out they won't be on his team for long because they are out to promote new pokemon and they can't very much do that with people from the prior generation unless they have a new evolution that generation like Aipom did when he went to Sinnoh.

Probably, although If generation VI has new evolution's for old Pokemon, and if Ash happens to own one of these Pokemon, I can see it going along with him.

That is PlatinumDude opinions,there is no way Oshawott will be the only one Ash would take with him to the next 6 gen region,he could take all of his Unova team with him and it don't matter about them promoting new pokemon either. The reason why Aipom went to Sinnoh with him was due to it having a 4 gen evolve form and they also did it to promote the 2/4 Gen pokemon games aswell.

Yes but, if he took all of them he'd have 4 Pokemon straight away; at least with Aipom he only had two, plus Aipom got an evolution so they needed to showcase it. And like Kenshin mentioned; they would need to showcase Ash having Gen VI Pokemon.

But what I mean is, he could be rotating them with his older Pokemon and the Gen VI Pokemon so viewers could see some of his older Pokemon again.

Plus, he always catches a regional bird and a Grass, Water and Fire Pokemon (mostly starters).

I know what you mean. But the fact is that the older Pokemon. Gen V and below, will get screentime -- which will steal away the screentime from the newer Gen VI Pokemon. Only Pikachu can do that. ;-;

Rotating with in that Generation is good, but in contrast rotating his new with his old just wouldn't do the new pokemon justice and strip them of the amount of screen time the 5th Gen pokemon got in Best Wishes. Pokemon Anime is in a way an extension of advertising merchandise primarily the game. If you want to see rotation then we can wait to see them in the Pokemon League of that generation or a Battle Frontier like filler arc. I personally wouldn't want to see Ash roll around with a 3rd stage start destroying everything. I am fine if they ocassionally bring back and old people for a competition like they did with Snorlax in the Sumo competion but I really would want to keep that on an occasional basis.

Ash can still be rotating his old pokemon with the new 6 gen pokemon and the new pokemon will get justice.

There is nothing saying the Unova team won't go with Ash to the next region either.
