    We all know that each ability does something useful. Whether inside, or outside of battle. Things like Levitate and Mold Breaker that create useful battle effects. But, down to the point! If YOU could create an ability- what would it be and what would it do?

    EX: Iron Body
    Causes the Pokemon with the ability to be stuck to the ground. BUT, as an upside: ground type moves cause more damage.

    Stuff like that.
     
    just off the top of my head:

    Hyper Energy
    -> moves which require charging (e.g. solarbeam, sky attack) do not require the turn of charging.
     
    Flame Restore (restores HP gradually when burned instead of reducing it).

    Sand Body (restores HP gradually in a sandstorm)
     
    Here are some ideas. Some may be already done (apologies if they have) and they aren't the best. But I just felt like contributing. ^^

    Trepidation
    • Occasionally causes the opposing Pokemon to get scared and miss a turn (to avoid it being over-powered, the percentage of it happening is 10%)

    Leaf Blower
    • Makes grass-type moves not very effective.

    Heavy Armour
    • Increases the Pokemons defence while decreasing its speed. Ability loses effect when the Pokemon's health is below 25%.
     
    super strength:
    Fighting type moves get a boost
     
    Devious
    Dark and Ghost-type moves are powered up

    Plushy
    Physical moves do 25% less damage, despite defense stat of any kind

    Freaky Body
    Attacker has a 10% chance of being confused after physically attacking
     
    Traitorus-Pokemon with Ability takes 10% damage each turn. (for overpowered Pokemon)

    Loudmouth-Ability causes 1.5 more damage when sound-related moves are used by the Pokemon with said Ability.

    Peacekeeper-Occasionally stops opposing Pokemon from attacking. (5% chance)

    Machoist-HP is halved when the Pokemon enters battle for maximized Attack.

    Annoyance-Opposing Pokemon is occasionally forced out of battle.

    Bookworm-Ability randomly changes to another Ability.

    Disabeler-Erases all stat boosts for all Pokemon in battle.

    Antagonist-Dark and Ghost-type moves do 1.5 times damage when health is lower than 50%.

    Fever Pitch-Normal-type moves do 1.5 times damage when health is lower than 50%.

    Narcan-Poison-type moves and the status heal instead of doing damage.

    Swordsmaster-Blade-related moves do more damage.

    Sensitive-If attacked with a direct move, Pokemon with this ability have their Defense and Speed sharply halved on the turn of the attack, but causes a 4X boost on Attack and Special Attack on the next turn.

    Sadist-All Dark-type moves do double damage on Pokemon with health lower than 50%.

    Ice Force-All direct moves are blocked in Hail.

    Primal Instinct-Pokemon with this Ability cannot be controlled in battle, but have maximized Attack and Special Attack.

    Idiotic-Pokemon with this Ability cannot be controlled in battle, but have maximized Defense and Special Defense.

    Falcon Feet-Pokemon with this Ability may attack twice a turn. (3% chance)

    Invincibility - Immune to any direct attacks. Only mewtwo and arceus can have this ability. Pfft. I wish.

    Unsanitary - Disallows usage of healing moves.

    Provoked - Raises Sp. Atk when hit by physical move

    Athletic - Raises Speed and Attack when opponent doesn't use attacking move
     
    Overkill - When the pokemon is at 1 HP all it's stats get boosted up 100%.
    Vampire Aura - When the pokemon uses a physical move on its opponent it will refill it's health with all the damage it did.
     
    Aikido: If the Pokemon is hit by the opponent's physical attack, it rebounds half the damage to the opponent.

    Capoerialist: Increases the power of kicking moves by 30% (Iron Fist double).

    Escape Artist: The Pokemon is capable of switching, regardless of its condition in battle or opponent's abilities.

    Pride: The Pokemon cannot be switched, or run from battle. Moves like Whirlwind and Roar fail to make it switch.

    Envious: If the opponent uses a stat-boosting move, this Pokemon receives a random stat boost by 1 stage.

    Warrior's Will: The Pokemon's Attack and Defense are increased by 2 stages when its HP reaches 1/3rd or less.

    Frigid Armor: If the opponent makes physical contact with the Pokemon, there's a 15% chance of the opponent becoming Frozen.

    Defensive Specialist: The Pokemon is protected from super-effective damage, but cannot deliver super-effective hits. (Basically, the Pokemon won't take super-effective damage, it'll just take regular damage. Same for the opponent who is hit by this Pokemon with a super-effective move.)
     
    Delay- If the opponent uses a move that requires a turn of charge-up, the move is delayed by another turn.

    Mirror- If the opponent uses a move that does not make contact, it will be damaged by 1/8 of their maximum HP (equivalent of Rough Skin).
     
    Quick Recovery: Able to move immediately after using a variation of Hyper Beam.

    Parasite: 50% chance of stealing 1/8 of the opponent's max HP when hit by a contact move.

    Gigantic: Only abnormally large Pokemon have this ability. Contact moves get a 50% power boost when used on Pokemon smaller than 2 feet high.

    Keen Hearing: The Pokemon's hearing is extremely keen, allowing it to closely hear its opponent's movements, giving it +1 evasiveness.
