Hello! In advance map, how can I create my own tileset without replacing one that is currently being used? I know that you specify in the "header" section which one you want the map to use, but how can I make my own separate one? What number should I assign it? I'm using Fire red by the way.

They're all used apart from very few. The point is, you're going to be replacing maps anyway, so why are you worrying about retaining Kanto's maps? Unless your hack is set in Kanto -- in which case you're going to have to be very tile efficient -- I don't see the issue with just overwriting the existing tilesets.

For now I'm just practicing. I understand what you mean though. When I officially start, i will be unconcerned about the kanto maps, and I'll just make sure that most of the maps use the tilesets that I edit
