You'll probably have to wait for a while, because I'm still at Spring's Revenge, and no matter what, I will finish that one first. If I don't, it will never be finished. >.<

On a brighter topic *cough*, do you think the revelation of HG/SS have cut down the chances of an Elite Four arc to happen in the anime? I fear Ash is just going to loose the league and then go over to Johto for the Battle Frontier, so, no Cynthia again. >.<
(And yes, I still want him to lose against her. )
 
Perhaps there will be no Cynthia, who knows. I never got into that Battle Frontier thing, so I don't remember what happened. All I know is that it came around to Saffron City and there was no Sabrina.

I don't want to get my hopes up too high, because, well, the writers have indeed disappointed me greatly once with their decision to leave Sabrina out of BF (and all of the other gym leaders, but that's not important), so, they might just do it again and have Cynthia not appear again. Yet, wouldn't it be silly? After all the building up for the elite battle? But well, HG/SS threw everything into a loop, although not unexpected.
And with my luck, they might just leave Will out of Johto if they return to it in the BF...-.-
 
I still think it's possible to see Cynthia again before the arc ends, though I'll only be satisfied if it ends with an Ash beatdown. Ash certainly could not beat her, and I don't want any fluke to happen to make him win.
 
Yes, you're right, if the writers make an elite showdown (which we still hope they do), they wouldn't let Ash win. It wouldn't make much sense to make him win the first league he ever challenges. I could rather imagining him going onto the next league and then winning there, to keep some kind of well, plot line. XD
Sadly, by this next season, no Cynthia anymore. ;.;
Except if she gets herself into some rescue mission like Lance did in Hoenn.
 
I will never view Ash Ketchum as worthy to challenge even a gym leader, let alone an Elite. So I'd only hope to see him lose to the first Elite badly and that to be the end of it. Unfortunately, when you have an incompetent main character, it's just hard to cheer him on. Paul didn't deserve to challenge Cynthia, and she should have brushed him off, but at least she humiliated him.

Any review on my fic, or are you still angry with me?
 
Yes, yes, yes, but Ash is the main character, no matter how you turn it around, so, he kinda has to challenge the gym leaders or else we would never see them fight.
And Paul...well, if not for him, we would have never seen Cynthia get through an easy, complete fight (the ones with TG, Lucian and Aaren don't count so much), so better this than nothing? XD And Paul was pwned. 0=)

No, but review's going to come tomorrow because of time issues, again. >.<
 
I guess I just want a more competent lead character. Other shows like Bleach have one, why can't Pokemon? If we had one, I wouldn't mind seeing him even win some Elite battles, just not beat Cynthia.
 
Hm, maybe because Pokemon is a kid's show? Nah, just kidding. Maybe Ash's 'incompetence' is just hinted by the fact that he has to stuggle against each new gym leader in each new region again. It would be stupid if he rushed through them like lightning, never lossing once, winning every time and so on...then, the season would be over after a few episodes, and it would be boring.
That's also the reason why I don't see him winning against Cynthia. Then, his journey would be closer to its end, and heck, that's something the writer's obviously don't want. >>
 
Right, if he beat Cynthia then obviously there wouldn't be much else for him to do. Winning the Battle Frontier was not that big of a deal, nor was winning the pathetic Orange League (which you may notice I make fun of in my fanfics; no Orange leader has ever won a match in my tournaments). But if he does get that chance at facing Cynthia, hopefully she wipes him out.
 
Hm, the BF was interesting (Anabel *.*), and I found the Orange Islands interesting for the fact that their gym leaders didn't have the usual fights. Much better, imo. *hides*

Anyway, up to the review, neh?

Er, another justification... she's my favourite character from the fourth generation and just beautiful. (Well, not as gorgeous as Sabrina, of course, but I hope my opinion wouldn't be a hindrance...) Besides, it seems like you just have to like Cynthia too if you worship Sabrina. (XD)
 
Yeah, of course you can join, but you must realize that the Cynthia from my fanfics is a dark, cruel woman obsessed with royalty and beauty. That's the Cynthia that pops up a lot in our conversations.

So Cynthia meets someone who is at least somewhat invulnerable to her attacks... and someone who's a threat to Lucian. I don't see another part to the review, so I assume you stopped halfway through.

Well, to get to the former topic, I would be annoyed if Ash could challenge her after the league, or even worse, manages to win against her (*shock*).
