...I do not own Platinum, so yeah I have no idea who Charon is, much less *how* he is like.

Elite 4 level reduced? ;.; Not nice, not nice at all! I wanted to fight against the strong Cynthia! (That is, if I battle her at all in the end...)

The E4 raises levels every time you win against them, from what I heard.

I had to try multiple times to beat Cynthia...
the E4 was easy to beat, but not the Champ....

=3 Ah, now this is good news. =3 Multiple challenging Cynthia= more chances to stare at her sprite. XD The battle itself will not matter much, then. Though, if Cynthia is that much stronger than the regular Elite 4, then, well, it might end up as a not so nice surprise after Lucian and a bit of struggling. x,x (Not that I mind the battle against Cynthia being a bit longer, though..0=) )

I had a quite bad team (in my opinion today) on about Lv.55 and beat the whole E4 and Cynthia in the first try. The battle with her lasted at leat 10 minutes. xD
It was my first and last time I challenged her in DP, but now I'm on Platinum and I guess I will face her in a few days... I'm looking forward to see if it will be harder on the Monotype Challenge.

If she's really weaker in Platinum, it shouldn't be that much of a problem. After all, Cynthia has no dark pokemon...wait, she has a dark Pokemon, hasn't she? >>;;; Drats, forgot Spiritomb. XD Ghost/Dark, even. Though challenge, Wyyrlokk, I suppose. ^^ Plus the half steel type Lucario, also resistant against psychic (well, at least half). XD

Okay, I'm back from the con! And I have pictures, including my big surprise...

First, the best costume of the con belonged to this girl:

And, the picture I wanted so badly...

Unfortunately I was a foot taller than her, plus she had her boyfriend taking the pictures, so that made any ship-teasing pictures impossible. Still, I got exactly what I wanted - to cosplay Lucian and meet a Cynthia!

My mistake. She has Spiritomb, but another of her Pokemon was removed. I don't tell you which. xD

(By the way, Lucario is half-steel, which resists Psycho, but also half-fighting, which is weak to Psycho - so Psycho is neutral to Lucario. I OHKOed it, by the way, as well as all of her Pokemon except Garchomp. (Of course I had to use 6x Calm Mind and Double Team to be able to withstand her attacks *and* getting strong enough to defeat her mighty Pokemon... x_x It was one of the hardest fights ever.)

And honestly, they reduced her level and the level from the Elite trainers only by 3-5, and gave them new, stronger Pokemon, so it's not easier but harder. They also get an unnatural high rate of Critical Hits, but maybe it was just my intention.
Everything on Platinum is better then DP and it's definitely worth the money. and - maybe it makes you happy to hear that Cynthia has a much greater part in the story now.

@CPF: Cool! You look like a perfect Lucian, and that you met a Cynthia is great. ^^ (Maybe you should take a book with you next time? It would make it even more authentic, but it's great anyway.)

Hm, already read a few spoilers about Cynthia and her place in the storyline...and yes, they please me very much (now, where in the torn world can the player dumb Cyrus to be aloen with Cynthia? 0=) )

Sorry, been too lazy to respond these days. Anyway, I'm glad you like my picture, I even got some people to recognize me, which I thought I was awesome. I still couldn't pronounce "Lucian" right, but oh well. The Lucian cosplay was comfortable except for the wig, as the hair kept getting blown in my eyes.

And this weekend I plan on working on the next chapter, after getting two requests from outside this board to keep writing.

I wouldn't have thought that anybody could recognize you (after all, Pokemon is not that popular anymore, and Lucian is not such a well known character either), but I'm glad some did. =3
Don't worry, Lucian is pronounced differently here, too. >> The anime pronounced his name once with the 'c' being like the 'c' in Lucy (or Cynthia ^.~), the other time like like a 'sh'. I normally use the second pronounciation, which I personally think is the correct one, but that is subjective. Many members of the German forums I visit thought it was the wrong one...*shrugs* No idea which one is the official, in the end.

It was my hardest fight on Platinum and *one* of my hardest ingame fights ever, but I remember some which had been even worse.
After all, it wasn't so hard after Gardevoir managed to set up with Calm Mind and Double Team.... the hard part was to survive Spiritombs super-effective attacks while doing so. I was lucky that it does know only Special Attacks. (well, and avoiding the critical hits... I swear, the E4 had nearly every ten attacks a Critical... it was awful x_x)

(now, where in the torn world can the player dumb Cyrus to be aloen with Cynthia? 0=)

Sometimes there is the possibility that Cynthia is alone with Cyrus, which would at least please some of the Shippers around. xD

In other news, Bulbapedia says that Cynthia's going to be in the Johto remakes! I hope this is true... they say she's going to be in a room with Arceus. Which makes me wonder... is it okay if Cynthia "wins" in my story, P*A? Or would that go against my rule of WAFFLES (Warm And Fuzzy Feeling Lovely Endings)?

Yes, Cynthia apparently has a cameo in HG/SS. =3 But we don't know any details yet, so, well...your storyline could be affected, in the way that Cynthia pwns Arceus (I know how much you would like that, lol), or, if they ever get into battle, the most possible outcome imo Cynthia gets pwned by Arceus, or the more possible way, methinks she just rambles a few random lines about the god of Pokemon.

(But honestly, that means Sabrina and Will *and* Cynthia all in one game. I know somebody who would be unbelievable happy. xD (Except you...))

Okay, this is unbelievable, I posted last night and the server lost my post. Anyway, if Cynthia owned Arceus, I'd be so happy you wouldn't be able to believe it, but then again it might do something to my plot. It was your MSN that alerted me to her appearance in the new games, after which I had to search all over to find out about it. I can't wait to see her, if I can, that is. (Maybe she's only able to be found in one of those "special events" that you need to be lucky to see... I sure hope not...)

Anyway, the other night I came up with the whole plot to the rest of Return of the Queen. It should flow nicely into your future sequel, which you must write in order for my fanfic life to be complete. I should start to write the rest of it tonight, so look forward to seeing it!

I would like to see Cynthia owning arceus too, but only because I hate that thing and the idea that it is the god of Pokemon.
Honestly, a god who can be caught and dominated by a ten-years-old kid (player) or any other human (no matters how sexy and cool Cynthia is...)... that's stupid. xD Not to forget that this child would hold the might that created the universe in its hands.
