D/P Team. No Platiums move suggestions please.

Alright now that that is cleared up... Onto the team.

    [PokeCommunity.com] D/P Balanced OU Team

    Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
    Jolly; 4 Hp/ 252 Atk/252 Spe
    Rock Slide
    Earthquake
    Taunt
    Stealth Rock

Now that Deoxys-S is uberized, Aerodactyl can rain supreme as the fastest taunter and stealth rock lead. As far as I know nothing can really prevent Aero from setting up stealth rock except for trick-choice scarf pokemon, which is too popular in platinum metagame thus I am not using this team in that environment, so that solves that problem.

    [PokeCommunity.com] D/P Balanced OU Team

    Jirachi @ Light Clay
    Jolly; 252 Hp/ 128 Def/ 128 SpD
    U-Turn
    Thunder Wave
    Reflect
    Light Screen

Since my favorite screener has been uberized (I like deoxys-s) this is my best result as a replacement. Instead of taunting pokemon this cripples them with paralysis and allows me to get a shield up. U-turn/Jolly allows me to escape dugtro and magnazone. Basically just stayed with Jolly/U-turn.

    [PokeCommunity.com] D/P Balanced OU Team

    Suicune @ Leftovers
    Bold; 252 Hp/252 Def/ 4 SpD
    Rest
    Surf
    Calm Mind
    Sleep Talk

I have always like CroCune. It fits well on just about any team because it can status absorb, tank, and sweep all in one. This also takes on Jirachi's weaknesses (Fire and Earthquake) well.

    [PokeCommunity.com] D/P Balanced OU Team

    Gengar @ Choice Scarf
    Timid; 252 SpA/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp
    Thunderbolt
    Shadow ball
    Focus Blast
    HP Ice

Excellent Revenge-Killer. Not much more to say than that. Went with timid over modest as suggested along with Hp Ice over Hypnosis.

    [PokeCommunity.com] D/P Balanced OU Team

    Lucario @ Life Orb
    Adamant; 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP
    Crunch
    Close Combat
    ExtremeSpeed
    Swords Dance

So far the pokemon above got stopped by blissey and lacked physical power, so this covers that. Changed jolly for adamant and stayed with extremespeed as suggested.

    [PokeCommunity.com] D/P Balanced OU Team

    Gyarados @ Life Orb
    Adamant; 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp
    Dragon Dance
    Waterfall
    Stone Edge
    Earthquake

Since I had a bit of a heatran problem this helps counter it. After one Dragon Dance everything without choice scarf is outspeed except for 130 Bases which are mostly used as leads anyways and will have been elimnated earlier.

Well that concludes my team. I would like to add a threat list, but I have never been good at isolating particular threats. Of any particular threats I can see it is the ever annoying status effects, but really what can you do about it most of the time. It is bound to happen. *shrugs*

Note: I have never used Blissey on one of my teams. Guess I have a biase against Bliseey or something.

    Again no Platinum Suggestions.

I can see a pretty nice Tyranitar weakness, who can outspeed Gar after a DD or two. I would make Gar Timid to counter this threat and revenge kill with Focus Blast, or you can go with Bullet Punch>> XSpeed on Luke. Crocune isn't going to help much on the Tar weakness though.

Jirachi and Aero are both more of Leads in their repsective situations. Maybe try running a Celebi set with Screens?

...DDTar can't outspeed Timid Scarfgar even after 2 DD's.

Aero gets lead priorty over jirachi. It gets stealth rock up for sure which if not set up in the first turn is very difficult to set up after that. Also Jirachi has better typing versus celebi.

    Timid it is than :)

Luke doesn't care too much about that extra speed with Jolly. Yeah, you'll outspeed maybe a few threats, but you might miss that extra attack late game when he's trying to sweep. Up to you though.

I don't see too much else...Except Wish/U-turn is a more potent support combo for Jirachi. Perhaps drop one of your screens and add wish in if you like.

Not bad, I might come back.

Instead of taunting pokemon this cripples them with paralysis and allows me to get a shield up. U-turn/Jolly allows me to escape dugtro and magnazone. Icy Wind/Timid can allow me to slow ground types and other pokemon that absorb thunder wave. Of the 2 option I can not decide which is better :/

Also I thought Uxie could to the same thing with the same everything, but with u-turn/jolly since it can not learn icy wind. Again I do not know which of the 2 are better for this particular role as both seem to have + and -.

    [PokeCommunity.com] D/P Balanced OU Team

    Suicune @ Leftovers
    Bold; 252 Hp/252 Def/ 4 SpD
    Rest
    Surf
    Calm Mind/Roar
    Sleep Talk
Might consider roar over CM, as it helps you with PHazing, and I see a lack of that on this team.

    Focus Blast
    HP ice
HP ice is standard over Hypnosis, as it gives you "BoltBeam" type coverage, and helps with drags such as the DDOutrage Mence you see so much these days.
You outspeed even after 1 DD and OHKO with HP ice :)

Excellent Revenge-Killer. Not much more to say than that.

    [PokeCommunity.com] D/P Balanced OU Team

    Lucario @ Life Orb
    Adament; 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 HP
    Crunch
    Close Combat
    ExtremeSpeed/Bullet Punch
    Swords Dance
Adament is standard over Jolly , and Espeed is the prefered choice as it OHKO's the likes of Infernape, after 1 SD. Outspeeding a few minimal threats with Jolly doesnt' help too much to be honest, as with Adament, and this EV spread, you OHKO a lot of his usual counters, thus including Hippowdown (with rocks up), Cress and the likes.
So far the pokemon above got stopped by blissey and lacked physical power, so this covers that. With jolly I cover a lot of pokemon and outspeed many pokemon that might have spread of EVs to outrun adamant lucario. I have thought of bullet punch over extreme speed to be able to hit faster ghosts before they hit me.

Few comments in bold, a lot of 252 spreads I see, but I guess those sets do work pretty well on the chosen pokemon.

Thanks for the input so far. Fixed the small things (natures and HP ice).

I'll keep the idea of wish/u-turn for jirachi open. I think maybe leftovers over light clay if I did. Same with roar instead of calm mind. Not sure which I will use for sure. With shields up from jirachi roar might be better as I could take more hits, seen more of there team. Any idea on wether icy wind/timid vs u-turn/jolly is better for my jirachi?

Any other weakness apart from the forementioned tyranitar?

Uturn definantly, as then Dugtrio lolz @ you trying to hurt him.

Light Clay really is better than your lefties, as 5 turns goes pretty quickly.

If you look at battle damage the jirachi I have now has a chance to 2HKO Dugtrio with Icy Wind provided No HP/SpD EVs and a better chance with stealth rock (Unsure about the precentage of 2HKOing. And with the speed drop Jirachi would be faster allowing me to finish off dugtrio. So both U-turn and Icy Wind are effective against Dugtrio.

CBTrio will do quite a dent with out Reflect up, and from your EV spread I can run a calc on the amount of damage it will do.

So gimme a min, and I'll edit this.

OK I got the Damage Calc done

    CBTrio with no Reflect up:
    Min Avg Max
    345 376.27 406

As you can see, wiht out a reflect up, his max damage hit, will OHKO your rachi.

Not to mention Uturn is better for Tbolt/sub magnezone, who completely walls the set with Icy Wind.

    Alright I'll go with U-turn/Jolly.

Just wondering. Does anyone think that I need to switch out gyarados for another pokmeon or change it to a bulky gyarados? I do not really seem to need 2 physical sweepers. Lucario seems to function fine by itself for late game. I think I could get more team synergy from switching out Gyarados with something else.
