4th Gen D/P/Pt Monotype Challenge

Haven't updated in a bit, but I have made some good progress!!

-Reached and passed through Floarama and the Windworks, meanwhile wished I had chosen ghost because Drifloon is cute! (Maybe next time)
-Traveled through the forest with no trouble at all.
-Reached Eterna, then wandered off to the east side to hunt for Meditite (blargh) and Chingling (yay!).
-What I actually found was Bronzor!! I forgot it appeared there, I was expecting to wait until I could get under the bike path.
-I caught about twelve Bronzor until I found one I liked (Serious nature, Levititate abilitye), and named it Mogo, at level 14.
-Also caught a Chingling, named Charlie, however I'm not sure about keeping two pure-psychic types. He's a great help for now, though, nice to have more than two on my team.
-Steamrolled Gardenia's gym, because at that point Sayd was about level 26 or so. Mogo and Charlie both also gained some levels. By the end, Sayd was level 30.
-Dealt with Team Galactic to get access to the bike. Discovered that fighting a level 23 Skuntank is really hard, even if your Kadabra is 30. Took two tries but I did it, then it occured to me I should evolve Sayd into an Alakazam (but I didn't).
-Did the intro to the Underground stuff.
-Rolled downhill on the bike path, fought all the trainers, then ignored the underneath part for now.
-Went east along 207 and 208 to reach Hearthome. By then Sayd was 32, Mogo was 24, and Charlie was 21 (only really used him if needed).
-Due to Sayd being 32, I managed to get into and beat Fantina's Gym. Oops, and LOL.
-Traveled east again, then north to Solaceon, my personal favourite town in the game.
-Visited the Unown kid, and the Solaceon ruins as well, caught a few Unown, though have no intention of using one.
-Went north through the long grass.
-Remembered that Lunatone can because when Sapphire is inserted in the GBA slot of a DS. Went back to Lake Verity near the starting town to hunt for one, but after half an hour without even seeing one, I threw in the towel. Maybe at one of the other lakes.
-Went back to route 210 in a minor huff, then east along 211 and on to Veilstone. Fought a guy with a Ralts along the way, and then checked the Pokedex to discover it appears in a couple of additional locations than where I thought.
-Trotted back to route 209 and ran around in the long grass just outside the Hearthome gatehouse (or whatever those are called), and accidentally KO'd a male Ralts before catching a female one.
-My DS battery light turned red, and it was 2:30 am, so I saved and turned it off. Now just gotta decide whether to try and breed a male Ralts, or just run around and catch one.

Wow, I managed to do a lot this time. I started in Pastoria, and ended in Iorn Island.

Beat Wake in Pastoria,

Avoided the Pokemon Mansion, because their's nonthing there for me,
Went to Hearthome thinking I could battle the Gym Learder,
Left Hearthome because I remembered I had to go to Celestic first,
Zoomed through Route 209 and Solaceon,
Fixed the Psyduck,
Used Defog to get through Route 210,
Got to Celestic and kicked Galactic butt,
Gave old charm to old woman for Surf HM,
Flew back to Hearthome and beat Fantina,
Biked all the way to Route 218,
Surfed to Canalave,
Defeated Rival Again,
Then got shiped to Iron Island for Training,
Also Evolved Skorupi into Drapion at some point.

Interesting. Let me clarify something.

So if you start with say, Electric. Can you trade over a lvl. 5 Electric Pokemon to start? Or would you have to go until you find your first Electric type in the game without trading?

To my understanding, if you can't find your type before you get to Eterna, then you can trade. If you can though, you have to catch whatevers their.

And unfortunately I haven't played since my last update so I don't have one.
