I didn't like the "green" color scheme they gave to the characters' outfits in Emerald. I kept losing my character's sprite in those patches of really tall grass, lol
 
I guess I was referring to the battle screen. The level of the Pokemon is displayed better in Emerald; the one in Ruby looks distorted, lol. And I like the Emerald's outfits too.
 
Of course, the character designs for FR/LG win hands down. Especially the female :)

What I never understood in Emerald is why you battled Maxie three times but only fought Archie once.

Purchasing it would need money and time and effort and actual need to get it. :(

I'd rather wait for Gen 5 and then play the remakes of R/S which'll have the BF. :D;
