I love this poem, Jorge! Basically because my favorite types of poems are life, survival, and nature. ^^

The silent dove

The beauty of the silent dove
Was like something sent from above.
A sign of wonder and miracle.
Showers of beautiful love were sent down,
My heart was at peace for once,
After all life had come full round.

The ones seeking to conquer your free soul
Those horrid men wanting you in a hole.
A soul such as yours,
That should be allowed to be freed
Was now stuck and cut like a weed.
Beauty left those eyes as the tears came
Tears were strong of pain and fear.

Then one day,
The dove fell silent
It?s beauty now gone,
The world in tears
Tears of fear that were to come?

Poison of Love

There's a reason why I choose stay,
Away from love, and its terrible ways.
I've seen it good, but mostly bad,
It wreaks destruction, in its path.
It turns people into monsters, and tears them apart,
Leaves them alone, with broken hearts.
But why must love leave them so fast?
Shouldn't love forever last?
Why can't they think about the good times they had?
And just move on, forget the past.
And I could have stopped tragedy,
But I failed in agony,
And I started it all,
And I watched them fall.
I should have been there, to stop the fight.
And I should have been there, to show them the light.
And trickling down, drops of blood,
'Tis the poison, the poison of love.
 
I've read it in the Valentine Contest thread and I must say it's really good! ^^ I'm already poisoned from love. XD They've sent me to the hospital and now I'm restoring all the love; yay!

Nah..It was okay, a good poem showing how one person feels that love is something that betrayed them or so, and that love is something that's...poision XD

Solitary Rebel

I am the one, left in the dark,
The one forgotten, from the start.
This is my life, a lonesome one,
Without color, without a sun.
I am a rebel, left behind,
Rejected from human-kind.
But I won't give in, I'm gonna' keep fighting,
I won't stop running, I won't start crying.
No one controls me, 'cuz I'm alone,
Don't care if its dark, or if its cold.
But I'll still be here, haunting your mind.
And there's nowhere to go, nowhere to hide.
And then you'll see how things can be,
When you cannot escape, these dead dreams.
An empty world, is where I stand,
Of dried oceans, and arid land.
There is nothing here, only me,
A downed rebel with a doomed destiny.

I love Solitary Rebel, Eli! It shows that you are alone, by yourself, and nothing's gonna stop you. ^__^ Nice rhythm, rhyming, and emotional feeling!

Why is it that everyone thinks their poems suck, when they know they don't ?XD
 
They want others to compliment about their poetry or atleast want someone to think positive on their poems. ^^
