Depending on what brand of tablet you get and what model, they can go pretty low. Plus, I use mine for plenty of things other than drawing. Sometimes I just write out my messages on MSN and sometimes I'll use it for graphic design and...sometimes I'll just use it as a replacement mouse. :p

^^ Yeah, that tablet has a lot of utilities. For making arts and using the mouse. <~ Mostly for arts, I guess.
 
I've wanted a Tablet for quite a while, I'm tired of my pencil sketches. I want to move onto digital art, at the moment I'm partly saving up and begging my dad to contribute to the price. XD I sometimes just draw things with my Laptop touchpad, but it takes forever to draw and I tend to slip a lot when I'm drawing. XD;

Yeah I know. I hope I get a tablet in the near future.
 
I use my tablet mostly for art; they're so good for that. I'm still way better at drawing on paper though. The tablet just makes it a bit faster to digitally colour for me.
 
It seems to me that it would be hard to keep everthing straight when drawing on a tablet, but then again I've never used one.

I hate my Scanner >.< It turns all of my drawings to crap. It would be easier coloring with a tablet.

My scanner is really crappy too. It makes everything I draw too much of a large image size. And if I resize, you can't even make out the image. @_@

And I have no clue what a tablet is. ;o;
 
My scanner is awful too. ><; I liked my old scanner better. This one doesn't pick up my light sketches, which is what I tend to do. :|

Plus, if I colour the image before scanning, it won't pick up half the colours. <<;
 
My scanner makes my drawings HUGE, so It's useless to make a theme out of it >.<
 
You should be able to just resize the image in any editor that has a decent resizing tool. o_o Or while you're scanning, reduce the image's DPI and it should scan smaller.

But alas... I've tried that. All that does is make it 800x500, roughly and the lines turn out to bright. I've tried to reset it so the picture is less bright and more noticable, not it doesn't nothing. Only option I'm left with is doing all the outlining in ink, and I hate that. I prefer pencil and just shading it.
 
Hmm.... either that or you could just darken whatever image that you're scanning afterwards. But changing any scanner options would be easier.

My scanner does things too dark if I remember correctly. I don't even know how we managed to get a scanner, xD
